🦄 Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 v 🇮🇪 Ireland 🍀 - 24th September

Recommended Posts

Attacking stats weren't amazing first half Vs Ukraine, 5 shots and 1 on target. Just hope we can pick it up second half. A goal in first 15 minutes and I'd be confident of grabbing a win.

Ability. The ability for individual players to adjust to what is in front of them. Guys like Hendry just cant do it. A coach can put all the X and Y on a magnetic board, in the end it comes down to how a player adjusts to what is in front of them.  There is a fundamental reason why we are so flat (and basically outplayed in the previous Euros finals).

This is about as average a RoI team as has ever been, all they are doing is pressing our defenders.

So Ireland who as you admit have worse players than us are following their instructions from the coach and doing well.

Yet our coaches are not in any way to blame for our superior players not playing well.

Its a conundrum alright.

Because he doesnt Wear a poppy. He’s from Derry which is where a lot of protestors got massacred by British soldiers. Might not agree with him but think it’s understandable

Also thought it was a laugh to dress up like a terrorist and put it on social media. The guy is a cock.

Maybe it's cause it's in Glasgow it has brought out some of the nutters, but they definitely sang about the "ra" on a couple of occasions.

Well, it was being sung and I'm fairly confident it wasn't by the home crowd 😂

Jaysus sorry to hear that.

The Ukraine spent most of the game sitting in and playing for whatever they could get.

Not for the first time, if a team presses our defenders high up we suddenly lose contact with our midfield and attacking options drop through the floor. It's not the coach, it's the team.

Ireland pressed us the last time. Clarke said the players were at a loss as to how to deal with it. Of course Ireland are going to use the same tactic. If the management team have not prepped for this, and the players are still unable to deal with a high press, then the blame lies 100% with the management team.

Ireland have worse players than we do, but they are a better coached team than us.
It’s the only real explanation for the three halves of football we’ve seen between the sides since June.
