Tugendhat is instantly forgettable, makes a lot his service which will play well with some but doesn't have much of a personality at all. Kept talking about a 'clean break' with Europe. Shapps was polished and there were no awkward questions for him. Very cosy. David Davis on now, dumb b*****d he is.

Agree that nothing will change overmuch. Awful policies aren't going to magically become better because of a new leader.

I couldn't care less who becomes the next leader or PM, the policies will remain the same.

They are like light bulbs, interchangeable.

Nothing really changes, if its that Richie guy who's pretty much a glorified bank manager then its going to be boring for a while in comparison until the next wave political careers start to unravel. Will lobbing those distracting dead cats onto the table still be a thing when they inevitably mess up?

Suspicious of Boris though, why did he appoint Pincher regardless of the man's habits? why did he treat the whole thing as a joke? What about his view that money would just be splaffed against the wall investigating historic sex offense cases that have been brought to light? Does Boris have something to hide himself that he doesn't want us to find out?

This, if anything they'll lurch further to the right as the candidates try to attract the party members who will choose from between the final two.

Having said that them choosing one who is clearly bonkers (Braverman, Patel) would be preferable to one who can pass as normal like Tugendhat if you could guarantee that voters from middleEngland would be turned off by that decision.

Why didn't she bring up his relationship with Michael Green, Sebastian Fox and Corrine Stockheath? Tugendhat was a remainer so he's fucked in the eyes of the ERG no matter how much he likes to appear as some sort of John Rambo he'll be out early. Shapps just gives me the vibes of a hopelessly over promoted liar who's low moral standards were perfect to go onto tv to defend the indefensible. When is a tv host going to mention the 180k+ deaths when they got all the big covid calls right.

It's all very softball at the moment, maybe they will toughen up once we get down to the last few.

Penny Mordaunt has declared. That's nine now?

Also, Johnny Rotten endorsing Jacob Rees-Mogg, Punk truly is dead and Lydon is fucking it's sloshing corpse.

I get the impression that Boris' sex life, career, and personal appearance has been one long ironic gag told by wealthy people suffering from chronic ennui.

Bullingdon club dare gone too far.

Grant Shapps is a cousin of Mick Jones of the Clash.

Heard Tuggytwatt on the Radio. Two things loud and clear.

1. This is a voluntary union, but he wouldn't deal with "hypothetical" situations about how any Scottish desire to leave it might happen.

2. He raised the subject of cold weather/fuel bills being more of a problem in Scotland but when pressed said that his response would be to cut fuel taxes for everyone, the bigger problem in Scotland therefore apparently being irrelevant - even though he raised it.

The eagle-eyed among us will note his willingness to deal with only one of these "what will you do" questions.

Yeah, heard all that with Martin Guissler on the Sunday show. I'm not normally Guissler's biggest fan but I thought he did a decent job of exposing that c**t for exactly what he is.

I'm sure Steve Walker's 'Skwawk box' will give a balanced take.

Your logical fallacy is: "poisoning the well"
