Clyde have just replaced their manager and now Peterhead are seeking a replacement as well ... no time for complacency ... just sayin' ... We're shite but we're not Peterhead and Clyde levels of shite. I'm fairly confident we'll finish above them, along with the rest of the division. Agreed - things might pick up a bit with the new managers but Clyde currently on track for just 19 points all season and Peterhead even less. We're looking at about 45 which would put us right in the mix for mid-table obscurity. There's always six more points against Edinburgh for us to fall back on too....

Peterhead looking for a new Manager who might get more out of them, Clyde just got Duffy in and stopped the rot, maybe just briefly, time will tell. I'm like you I don't think we'll finish in the bottom two or three but think we will need other teams like those two and Kelty, maybe Airdrie, to continue on the same level of shiteness as present, or stay slightly more shite than us. If a couple of them were to hit a bit of form though I'd be extremely worried. Wullie quite rightly having a pop at the players in today's Standard for downing tools on Saturday and saying what we all knew, were too soft in key areas. He's quite right of course but he's got to remember who signed these soft players, and that being over critical can work in two ways, either the players respond positively or they take the huff.
DoonhamerDon
I was just checking there though and Dunfermline in their fabled 2015 season finished 7th with 48 points - a record I can quite easily see us not reaching. I know there have been a couple FT sides in League Two recently but is that Dunfermline team generally considered the lowest bar for FT clubs?

Manwithnoball
I wonder what WG is thinking regarding his starting team this Saturday. Obviously Hendrie is suspended. The area of issue is at the back. I would imagine McKenna and East will come in for D McKay and Hendrie and we will stick to the 3 at the back. Todd will I would imagine start over Cochrane. Does Connelly come in for Murray? Does Ruth or Bange replace Reilly or Paton. What has happened to McKechnie I thought WG like wingers with pace but he has not featured for a long time. A lot of things to consider as Montrose are always well organised and big McAllister will be a handful for our defence

I don't think that a back three with wing backs can work with wingers. McKechnie would have to play as right wing back but our defence isn't any good with defensive wing backs never mind hoping that our attack-minded players will track back for their defensive duties. I don't believe that we have the personnel to play three/five at the back. Personally, I don't like it as a system anyway, and certainly not with Queens this season so far. Lewis Gibson is a winger and that worked just fine away to Edinburgh. It worked less well against Alloa when the pressure was on us, as Gibson did get caught out. I agree we are short of a right wing back though. Most, if not all, our best performances have been with a back 3 this season. Can’t see us likely to deviate from that on Saturday.

Which makes me wonder why we have sent Muir out on loan to Gretna. I've only seen glimpses of him, but from what I have seen he's looked perfectly capable of filling the RWB role. Certainly no worse than McKenna, and no less experienced than Lewis Gibson who I'm not convinced we will get the best out of if played as a wing back as opposed to an out-and-out forward thinking winger.
Kunter
Why do they always win convincingly at home when I'm not there Good to bounce back from last week's horror show though. So inconsistent it's unreal.

DoonhamerDon
Well that was unexpected to say the least. Cracking result. Somehow we're only six points off second 2-1, 1-3, 3-0, 1-5, 4-0 Up and down to say the least!
qos_75
A great win, particularly after last week. Hopefully, we can start to put a few wins together. Away to Morton in the cup and then away to Dunfermline probably are not the games you would want. However, winning either one of them would be encouraging.

Two very tough away games there, then followed by another away at Alloa in the cup of diddyness (but at least a chance to extract some revenge for last week you'd think). If we could win one of those three I'd hope it was the Pars game in terms of league impact.

The draw was not kind to us though.
Manwithnoball
Well it looks like LG is a fantastic player in the making. I think we need to enjoy him while we have him. You know what the vultures are like with good young players and he is just going to go from strength to strength. Good to see the team bounce back and WG getting the reaction he wanted. Thought our midfield 3 ran the game and Wilson was superb. Great finishing for all the goals. Only negative is Rico getting sent off. Thought East had a good game at the back and the 2 McKays were definitely better. Well done WG as whatever you did or said definitely worked. Let's push on apart from Dunfermline everyone is else is catchable. I think yesterday showed we have a good team but desperately needs consistency. If we can get that then play offs is definitely possible.
19QOS19
Pretty incredible interview from WG bemoaning the lack of noise from the support yesterday. Given there was just over 900 QoS fans there (less if you believe there were 45 Montrose fans) I think he should be grateful there are fans still bloody turning up; maybe not wise to have a dig at those who are. And Sandra's "Looking at the bigger picture, it's not that bad?". Holy f**k.

The communication has broken down somewhere between the confirmation of the crowd, it being read over the tannoy and put on the updates.

The noise and numbers of the fans will increase if we keep playing like yesterday surprised Sandra said things are not that bad. We are now at a crossroads in our season can we push for the playoffs for me our defence still has a soft centre hopefully we can sort that in the New Year . Is Rico suspended for the Morton game Hendrie back for that .
