The Queen of the South thread

Cheers. Quite sad the way it went for him. You could see he was a quality player but the injuries just did him in. Hopefully he makes the step up again soon.

From about 56 minutes in he speaks about QoS for anyone wanting to listen.

Naysmith was allegedly offered a new,  improved contract by Queens around January but he/his agent held out and were looking at other options,  a job elsewhere.  When he found out no one else wanted him he crawled back to Queens to accept their offer only to be told the improved offer was no longer on the table.  It's not the BoD who need blame deflected. Performances/tactics  after January changed so much its too much of a coincidence. We were well rid.

If you’re right, Naysmith should have been sacked once it became obvious that performances and tactics had changed. It may also have been a possibility to pay him off once he decided he wanted to look elsewhere.

The results in the last 7 games are worse than anything Gus produced. 1 point from 7 games, 5 home defeats in a row, on top of losing in the first round of all the cups, 2 of them to lower league opponents. He has to go.
