He's gone full woke sjw imo. Gone from raging Tory to full on Communist basically. Or as is more likely retired early and has nothing much to fill his days so has become a full time online contrarian. Somewhat surprised, but also gratified, that he subscribes to the "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" principle, but repentant sinners etc. It seems to me that the settlement for council workers involves a modest adjustment to pay differentials and, as such, is a marginally fairer approach. However, the thought that higher-paid workers should voluntarily forgo wage increases in pursuit of social objectives is utterly risible. If we want to improve the situation of lower-income households it should be done through a more equitable tax system to fund higher levels of welfare benefits and the removal of several million households from any income tax liability.

Or why not another round of good old fashioned quantitative easing? They're bound to know that performative tax cuts aren't going to be enough to keep them in power this time, so it's very definitely going to be a last-ditch exercise in emptying the public purse in preparation for the (relatively) fallow years ahead.
BTFD
Yes, he never actually used the exact word 'cushy'. Possibly. Shame on you, Welshbairn. Pwned again! Edit: frankly, that was just to break up the inevitable wall of Oaksoft posts. He'll be posting a sentence at a time at this rate. It renders anything he says null and void, because we know it's all an act.

Still got a sneaking suspicion it's Granny Danger cosplaying a Mail reader.

He's definitely gone more 'deliberately missing the point' wind-up merchant rather than the old 'absolutely furious about almost everything' that was so entertaining, but there's always hope for another Christmas Day meltdown about benefits scroungers. Quite amusing how often he seems to forget his old position on issues, but.

Strikes are planned to coincide with all sorts of stuff, to amplify their impact. Commonwealth games, concerts, big events...but not this? Jeremy Corbyn must be spinning in his grave.

Strikes try to garner public support too, and this would just be an easy goal for the media and others against strikes as "unpatriotic" ect. Fully understandable IMO.

Union leaders are likely smart enough to know that industrial action during a period when millions aren't in their right minds would be an amazing opportunity to outlaw trade union membership altogether, or as near as possible. Just look how un-British they are, refusing not to work during the period of mourning we're so upset about that we've taken time off work...erm...
