Lol, wouldn't that be the Scottish football story of all time ? Unfortunately though, they still wouldn't be eligible to take part next season.

Imagine. I'm sure an exception would be made in that case. A bit like UEFA did with Liverpool a few years back when they won the Champions League but finished sixth or so in the league. Mon the Drum!

Just a reminder that the final of this competition is this Friday at 7.30pm between Renfrew and Whitletts Victoria at New Tinto Park.

Tickets can be bought in advance via Fanbase here: https://app.fanbaseclub.com/Fan/Tickets/SelectType?fixtureId=2424 There will also be a cash only gate on the night with admission at £10/£5 concessions, under 16s admitted free with a paying adult.

Hope to see some of you from this section of the forum there.

Renfrew 1-1 Whitletts Victoria (Renfrew win 5-3 on penalties)

A fantastic Strathclyde Demolition Cup Final in front of around 1,000 spectators. Thanks to everyone who came along and hope you were entertained. A hugely successful first outing for us with Fanbase as well. Almost 300 tickets were purchased, and no one waited more than about 30 seconds at the Fanbase gate. Cheers if you were one of the 300!

Luncarty drew 3-3 at Abbey Vale last week (winning on pens), then won 3-1 at home to Renfrew today, to lift the Cup-Winners' Shield plus qualify for next season's Scottish Cup... rendering Renfrew v AV irrelevant.

Perthshire team now in the Big Scottish Cup.

Another disappointment for the Wosfl.

Renfrew are in the second (i.e. third level) division.

Why would the league be disappointed by them ?

The only folk who will be disappointed will be those associated with Renfrew.

Luncarty are a good team, obviously boosted financially recently, but I still fancied Renfrew to win this. They might be a tier below but they have had a great season again teams who are probably on a par with most EoS Div 1 teams.

Delighted to see another Perthshire mob in the big Scottish though, good times! 😎

And Luncarty have a more scenic ground and a nicer jersey.

Up there with the best! It will be interesting to see how they do in the Premier if they get there and whether the locals will come out and support them
