But they are competing against other teams who are not established as senior teams (other than Threave) so one of them has to win it... What it probably shows more strongly is just how weak the South of Scotland League is that Threave are struggling for third. Have you seen any of these clubs this season to have came to this conclusion? Apart from Threave Rovers non of these clubs are more than 2 years old, and dealing with all that this entails. Take some time and look at some of the cup results they have had against higher league opposition. Kilsyth Ath, Thorn Ath, BSC, Threave Rovers have all beaten higher placed opponents. Threave beat high flying St.Cadocs 3-1. Kilsyth lost 2-1 @ Inverkeithing to 2 goals in injury time. As is well known I have seen a fair few Div 4 games and will defend the quality of it. Also Finnart are hardly struggling in Div 3. Think most people on here would acknowledge that there was some overlap in quality between top amateur clubs and the weakest junior ones because some folk prefer to be the big fish in a small pond and win trophies at a lower level than losing more games than they win at a higher one. What some of these clubs are showing is an ambition to give a decent product on and off the park. Considering some have started from scratch with very little resources is commendable and should be applauded and encouraged. I've no doubt some of these new clubs wont make it and will fold after a few years. Some will go the way of Harmony Row. Also no doubt some will flourish. I cannot abide people who sit in their ivory towers taking snide digs at those who are trying to achieve something. It's easy to read someone's post different from what they are saying. CFP have had a number of issues squad rotation and available numbers being a big concern week in week out. Other sides have had similar; Easterhouse, Thorn which shows up in their results. The top 4 have had consistency which has shown in their results. Yes it is the bottom tier so expect the quality to be less than league's above. But had to take issue with @Crazy Feet seeepi g statement. Have seen most teams I Div 4 including games against higher opposition. And in a number of those games the quality came from the Div 4 teams.
