The pies were outstanding too. Agree about our second goal but I think the linesman had just decided to give offside / onside on an alternate basis. He had a shocker.

Nice wee setup at the Vale. Hope the season goes well for you.

I agree about the set up, the pies and the lady who serves them. Always look forward to our visit, which is tomorrow, despite the distance.

Thank goodness we are a lot fitter than we were on our last visit to play on that large park.

Looking forward to a good game. Should be a cracking day for it.

Lesmahagow 3 Bellshill Athletic 1

Good game in the blistering heat. Good to see Kris Jarvie back at Craighead, as the Hill no 9.

End to end stuff with the Gow finishing better.

Investigation into last week, seems we changed entire team to fringe players don't think that will be happening again.

Good to see us getting back on track today

Royal Albert 0-2 Irvine Vics

Bit of a slog in the heat, but hard work and perseverance brought a well deserved win in the end.  Some world class saves from Albert 's substitute keeper in the second half kept the score down.

Vale of Leven 1-3 Lanark United.

For the second Saturday in a row I walk away wondering how we've lost. Credit to Lanark for taking their chances. One of these days it's all going to click for us and we're going to hand out a pumping.

Never saw us losing that game yesterday. VoL too wayward with their shooting. Our keeper had more saves to make . We scored 3 good goals, particularly the 3rd. Thought our 2nd was marginally offside.

My pie was excellent. First of the season

Aye we didn't have our best game in front of goal, definitely didn't test your keeper enough. Second goal was definitely offside, but we switched off for the quick free kick, if we'd been switched on it wouldn't have happened. Good game despite the result, not much between the sides, we just need to be more clinical.

Glad you enjoyed the pie, I may be biased, but I don't think there's many better at our level!

On that we can definitely agree!

Full midweek card of games tomorrow. Hoping we can bounce back from Saturday's disappointment, but Port Glasgow is always a tough place to visit.

What's everyone else's plans?

Ashamed to admit I will be MIA as I am 'celebrating' my 65th.  Hopefully the lads will top off a good day.

Lugar Boswell Th 0 Lesmahagow 3

Just back from a midge infested Rosebank Park. Good away win for Gow. Lugar battled away, but struggled in front of goal.

Gow took the lead early in the second half, then a second soon after. Lugar rallied a bit after, but Gow third visibly knocked them back..

Irvine Vics 1 - 0 Finnart.

Late but we'll deserved winner against a stuffy side. Game could have easily been over after 20 mins but for the woodwork and a couple of decent stops by the Finnart keeper. Boys kept plugging away and got their reward at the end. A win's a win so we move on to our next match.

Mon the Toria!
