22/23 Premiership Kits

We’ve recovered from the covid season which was pretty shit on both kits tbh.

Just watched the video the club released and Rob Wicks said kit designs are signed off about 18 months in advance. Must be pretty odd sitting on a design as naff as those ones were for that long and then having the fans almost universally shit on them.

A lot of clubs had the same crap design to be fair so maybe the Adidas options were all pretty shit that year.

Not a chance Aberdeen get relegated in them kits, so looks like you'll be in for a better season than last year.

Some absolutely top notch strips this coming season there.

Hearts' home and away are absolutely magnificent.

Aberdeen's is probably the best home shirt of the lot, the away is a bit meh though.

Motherwell's home also absolutely stonking.

There are some cracking retro-style concept shirts that have gone up recently on the Dunnottar Retro website.

99% sure the Motherwell design was there before the official one was released - incredibly similar.

Celtic & Ross County are ‘interesting’ as are the mash-up Dundee Utd ones (assuming Arsenal & Denmark)

I wouldn’t mind the gold-trim St Mirren one over SMISA #2, unless it looks better ‘in the flesh.

Genuinely can’t wait to see the rumoured all-black away number…

Those Aberdeen kits though. The red one just needs the crest swapped for a St Mirren one, and that’s our away kit sorted to instant erection standard. Their away one - ditch the red panels under the arms, make the thin red pinstripes 1” thick black stripes, and there’s a cracking St Mirren home kit right there. IMHO naturally. 😎

Aberdeen, like Hearts tend to have their best strips when they keep it simple - both home and away strips are brilliant. Not many shiters about this year it has to be said.

I said this in another thread.  There’s simply no excuse for a bad Hearts or Motherwell kit.  Retro/simple, and you’ve got a winner.

Same thing for most clubs, IMHO. Cannot beat Celtic Lisbon 67 kit, cannot beat a moustach-sporting John Grieg in a plain blue Oldco shirt with an over-sized ‘RFC’ logo, and cannot beat the ‘Billy Bremner / Dennis Law plain round-neck 1960s Scotland kit.

It’s an age thing…. but it’s the feckin’ right thing.

Aberdeen home is a cracker, a throwback to the early 1980’s pinstripe strip they wore.

The away top would be okay but for the red panels under the arms, looks a bit cheap with them.

The away shorts looks like the boy’s got his Mum to sew a badge onto a random pair of black shorts to make them look like a football kit.  The badge badly needs binned and a proper one designed.
