Highland Capital
Seemingly Egypt are keen on bidding for 2034. From Wikipedia, they have 13 stadiums over 25,000 seats but more than half of them are in Cairo.
BFTD
Surely there'll need to be heavier than usual bribery to avoid 2034 going to Africa. Looks like there's a bit of activity between Cameroon and nearby countries like Nigeria, Central African Republic, Congo, and DR Congo to put together a bid for 2030 - that sounds like an interesting location if 2030 goes to South America, as you'd imagine. No idea how feasible it would be, politically and logistically.
BigDoddyKane
Africa would be good for a world cup
Barry Ferguson's Hat
No other country is so habitually overlooked and undermined. If 2034 doesn't go there it's a disgrace.

And guess what, THEY WON IT!!!!

Thats what you get for playing THomas Telford up front and leaving Robert Stevenson on the bench.

craigkillie
I would be amazed if it doesn't end up in Argentina/Uruguay, seems inevitable.

To be fair, a few folk thought that about the 1996 Olympics and wondered why anyone would bother competing against Athens for the centennial games.
Highland Capital
I wonder if Indonesia could hold a World Cup on their own. They have the U20 World Cup next year and have 21 stadiums over 30,000 capacity and another five under construction.

Went off your ideas when you were whining about Mexico tbh, but that sounds like a cracking venue. Beaches, big cities and loads of potential for adventure. It's about time Asia got a chance for somewhere outside China, South Korea and Japan to show off. Also earthquakes, tsunamis, flash flooding, a capital city sinking into the sea and an utterly horseshit team that hasn't even come close to qualifying on merit in the modern era. Latin America after the North American event is the only sensible pick and then it's Europe's turn.
Donathan
Some reports in the US that FIFA have realised the proposed sixteen groups of 3 format is a crock of shite and are now considering twelve 4s (In the same format as the Euros)
Donathan
Assuming 2030 goes to the Argentina-Uruguay-Paraguay-Chile bid, that should shut the Americas out for a while after getting two on a row. Last time each confederation held the World Cup: Africa: 2010 Asia: 2022 Europe: 2018 CONCACAF: 2026 South America: 2014 (presumably 2030) Oceania: Never I would be shocked if 2034 doesn’t come to Europe. 16 years since the last tournament in Europe is already equal to the longest hiatus ever (between France 1938 and Switzerland 1954) so I think it will end up going to Spain and Portugal who have been expressing interest in tournament hosting duties for a while now. 2038 would then be open season on a return to Africa or a first ever trip to Oceania (although the latter would probably require Australia to defect back to their previous confederation). I’d put North African countries such as Morocco or Egypt as the front runners, although Cameroon/Nigeria could also have a shot. 2042 could go to China or Indonesia, keeping up the tradition of Asia hosting once every 20 years since their first go in 2002. I have no desire to go any further into the future than that.

Would mean 24 more group games to schedule though.
