SPFL Fixtures 22/23

Recommended Posts

They will be published for the coming season on Friday morning at 9am. Has anyone managed to get a hold of one of those famously accurate leaked copies of the opening round of fixtures? If so, please post in here. If not, your predictions for who your team will face on the curtain raiser will do.  Also use this thread for any fixture related conspiracy theories (the wilder the better) and for a moan about who has to go to Dingwall for a 12 noon kick off on Boxing Day. My prediction for the opening weekend card is:

Kilmarnock v Aberdeen

Livingston v St Mirren

Celtic v Ross County

Dundee United v Rangers (Sun 12:15pm KO)

St Johnstone v Hibernian

Heart of Midlothian v Motherwell

Would it make sense for Motherwell to go to Parkhead for the televised opener on Sunday given we won't play the Saturday anyway?

Or to host Rangers.

Would make sense, therefore it won't happen.

Rangers and St Mirren are never in the same home or away column unless Celtic are at Paisley or vice versa.

I thought this couldn't possibly be the case when I read it, so I checked, and it definitely isn't correct. Last season they were scheduled at home on the same weekend for non-Celtic games on four occasions pre-split - 20th November, 26th January, 9th February, 26th February.
