FFS The midland league, honestly? Somebody starts a thread about teams going back to the Junior Cup and low and behold its hi-jacked by a bunch of boring b*****ds who are raking over the same old shit trying to out-statto each other. Why doesnt one of you start a thread of your own and do us all a favour.

Show some respect to your fellow Junior clubs and at least get the name right.

The Midlands League was mentioned as their fixtures are out, showing the dates for the Junior Cup - is that not on-topic enough for you?

There is also one other club that will not be entering this year - Fauldhouse are shown in the Alex Jack Cup draw instead.

Blame LTL for the pyramid diversion....

For anyone curious about participation from other leagues the north sees the return of Lossiemouth United after about half a decade away while Banks O'Dee have added a 2nd XI after their promotion to the HL. Buckie Rovers & Spey Valley United remain in abeyance.

Midlands sees no change.

Based off of the team list from the Alex Jack Cup Fauldhouse have left the SJFA while the status of Syngenta is unclear as they are now licensed so wouldn't be involved with the Alex Jack. Armadale Thistle, Bathgate Thistle, Harthill Royal, Livingston United, Stoneyburn & West Calder United have retained membership.

Because it was a poster on P&B who was responsible for the SJFA's pyramid proposal rather than the SJFA's COO, Alex McDowall:

Successful Scottish Junior Football Association AGM today.

Biggest thing to go through was the opening of the Scottish Junior Cup to any team tier 5 and below who wish to enter.

It’s about small steps and I don’t expect a major influx from teams straight away but my plan includes an up to £80,000 prize pot with payouts to last 16 possibly 32.

There is no denying that the association has struggled to move forward but hopefully this is the first step moving on.

We’ve said it continuously that we are more than willing to work with other associations at our level if they are.

Another that was in my report to our members is the proposal put forward to the pyramid working group of the SFA, we have proposed a new set up at tier 5 sitting alongside the highland league and lowland league.

We feel the timing is right for such a move and again would be happy working with the others roundabout us.

We aim to fill a 16 team league with licensed clubs from the midlands league, the West of Scotland Football League and the East of Scotland league.

At the top end of it all depends on SPFL clubs changing there format, at the bottom end if the three leagues are in the winners if licensed automatically go up and the bottom three down, the fourth bottom of central league will play in a playoff with all three leagues second placed teams if licensed for the fourth promotion/relegation place.

A proper way for promotion and relegation.

Congratulations also go to Norman McKay, Bobby McNamara, Gordon Ronney and Felix McKenna on gaining life membership of the association, your service to the Scottish Junior FA is greatly appreciated.

Felix McKenna also received an honorary Vice President certificate.

Think that's two fewer than last season once you factor in Harthill. Fauldhouse and Pumpherston maybe?

Pumpherston resigned SJFA membership before the start of the 21-22 season.

All seven post are directly relevant to the competition that the SJFA members in the west enter and to the association that they are a part of so you are talking nonsense with that. Maybe you are the one that needs to learn how messageboards work. You don't get to dictate what other people decide to post.

Naw I want to know things like why clubs that scraped the SJFA name off the sole of their shoe like dog shit are slipping back to the fold. I'm less interested in somebody called Petrie painting a boundary line through Luncarty. What I can do is ignore this thread now and let it wither on the vine as the statto plague lays wast once again to a decent thread.

Were Banks O'Dee in the Junior cup last year? Will they be in it this year? Will both the HL and ML teams both be in it?

And, just so no-one gets upset at me asking a question that isn't 100% specifically related to thread title, how will this affect Greenock Juniors?

They were knocked out by Lochee United last season:

https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/3654975/banks-odee-exit-scottish-junior-cup-lochee-united/

so it was left to Dyce to put in an unusually strong run for a North region club instead. Think it's safe to assume that only the new Banks o Dee JFC will be in this time around but that's technically a separate club rather than a reserve team in terms of how player registrations get handled apparently.

Could be confusing for Junior historians of the future there being no link between the two clubs of the same name.

Sorry if I missed it but when is the WoSFL AGM to find out the league set up/fixtures?

AGM is Saturday.

The fixtures are meant to be good to go according to Kennie Young on twitter. The one thing that needs decided at the AGM is the choice of division set up at the bottom. Probably has two sets for them depending on 3rd Division Conferences or 3rd/4th winning out.

Any idea why there is a possible change about division 4. As far as I was aware it was like a holding division. Any team can join the WOSFL by certain criteria entering at division 4 but they are given two years grace to get their own park sorted to be able to gain promotion.  If the conference of division 3 and 4 happens does this mean that plan is not going to happen or does it mean teams who have entered last season and this season have to get the right criteria or they are out of the West of Scotland League after their 2 years grace.

Anyone shed any light on this ?

All I know is from what's been said recently on here. All the applicants & DIv4 clubs meet the minimum requirements for membership now. The proposals for the bottom are a Third Division of the 18 clubs from last season's Conferences with Finnart. The remaining Div4+applicants making up a Fourth Division.

Otherwise two 16 Conferences to form a 3rd and 4th Division for the following season.

Don't know how true that is, what the 3rd Division Conferences would look like, or how popular either idea is likely to pass.

Just 24ish hours to find out though.
