Thistle_do_nicely
tbh I think it was a pen, if you're going to take a touch in your own penalty area you need to make sure it's immaculate. Clumsy touch by James and then follows it up by leaning into the Hungary player.
craigkillie
Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar and England all losing during the Platinum Jubilee holiday, it's what the Queen would have wanted.

Absluttery...my bro-in-law (Penrith) gave me pelters on Wednesday night. The compliment was returned tonight and all of a sudden I feel a whole lot better.

TheScarf
The classic ‘it’s been a long season’ line whenever England lose a game in the summer being trotted out again I see.

David W
I've never heard of Wilfried Gnonto before but I like the look of him. German defenders haven't had a clue how to deal with him.

Just need Haiti to beat Bermuda tonight for a clean sweep (currently 0-0 after 7 minutes). Get your money on Haiti.

Tbf I do think it’s true, especially in the PL where it’s always fast and quite a physical league, it doesn’t surprise me that it was our English-based players who looked poorest and likewise for England. People mention other nations teams but not all squads are effected equally, some have players on top leagues others don’t, some have a lot of first team players who play every game and other don’t. It’s the downside of having good players.
Theroadlesstravelled
Robertson could maybe get away with the excuse that he’s played a lot of games but the likes of McTominay and Hanley are just slow and pish.
TheScarf
It’s an utter bollocks line from the media and fans to deflect away from the fact that both Clarke and Southgate got it wrong and were beaten by better teams on the day.

Raidernation
I just watched the bang average Czech Republic come within 5 minutes of beating Spain. No doubt paella and sangria will be awash with complaints that they couldn’t beat a side that “thrashed” a good Scotland team!
senorsoupe
Judging by how bad they are again, it seems like it was a million years ago when Iceland were really good
TheScarf
Haven’t most of their Euro 2016 squad retired from international football? I think a fair few of them have.
