Rutherglen Glencairn 2022-23

Recommended Posts

I didn't see our game today as I'm away for the weekend, but our form since February started has really been howlin'.

Promotion looks a very very long shot now, we need to make sure we don't get sucked towards the bottom three on current form.

Some hard ties next as well, Johnstone Burgh and Kilbirnie this week coming.

Four defeats in a row for us now and we really need to look over our shoulder and get some points on the table to secure our place in this league.

We actually didn't play badly today, we were well in the match at 1-0 but the penalty and red card for our goalie just killed us.

Some very big games are ahead for us now, starting next week at Blantyre.

As a complete neutral, I have to say you're coming over as a bit of a fanny.

Wasn't sure about the red card at the time but after viewing highlights ref got it correct.

Special mention to the vetrans yesterday, Marks, Dallas,McBride and O'Byrne.

Some combined ages there.

That was a much better performance from us today and nobody can say we didn't at least deserve the draw that our 90th minute equaliser gave us.

Benburb's goalie had a top performance and we hit the bar and post as well.

The equaliser lifted us up two places in the table and also meant Benburb dropped to 4th instead of being top had they hung on for the win.

That breaks our run of defeats and hopefully it's a turning point for us to bring us back to the great form we showed in December and January.

We are delighted to announce the signing of right back/midfielder Alan Dunsmore.

Alan returns to the club after a few seasons at Arthurlie, having previously been a member of our successful Under 21 squad. Alan is available for selection for Saturday's match v Johnstone Burgh.🏁
