All the teams should be in an open draw at the start and if the Welsh and Northern Irish teams aren't happy with that prospect then they should keep away.

I could understand that mindset if we had a few 'experienced' players in the squad but we don't. Surely the young (and so-called hungry) players we have signed will want to prove themselves (and therefore put themselves on the market) against the allegedly 'elite' younglings associated with the top clubs. ? If they can't rouse themselves against the likes of those then surely turning up for (in the right frame of mind) and beating say a university side is going to mean that it is going to be a long and tough season for us ? Not any kind of an acknowledgement that the whole B team inclusion in the league doesn't suck but since we are where we are, just trying to provoke a few thoughts.... therewasacoo
Wonder if we will have a keeper signed in time for our next friendly or if we are going to have another trialist one
Ivo den Bieman
Are Cowden having new kits this season? See your old tops are on sale from last term...

I’m sure I remember seeing something they said on Twitter a few weeks ago saying we will see something about a new kit soon
Ivo den Bieman
Well the all-black Miners kit is a bargain so snapped one up.

Cowdenleith
Not any surprise I suppose but it’s a shame that Cowden are not involved in the Lowlands Development League. I suppose if the structure has not been there for a youth team for a little while, then it ain’t possible to magic one up, but it’s going to be very difficult to attract decent youngsters from the area to the club.

The largest size left in the away strip is XL which is 44/46, might work for me, probably could have done with one up from that.
Cowdenleith
Is there any likelihood of any signings happening in the near future? Be kinda cool, especially a goalkeeper, sort of essential in my opinion.

It’s sad how the youth set up went into decline. The SFA cut grants and we went into the Fife Elite set up which never quite worked. The old set up was a main stay for us back in the day with the likes of Graeme Brown, Liam Buchanan, Darren McGregor, Scott Linton , Jon Robertson to name but a few promotion winners who came through the system.

Maybe the Cowdenbeath maternity smock would be a better choice.

Ok, just asked the missus, she confirmed moobs is a much better description
Deanburn Dave
No offence intended ......more men than ever have moobs. I could easily fill a B cup with my own !!Burn the bra brother. We should show our moobs with pride.
iateallthepies
My moobs were built on half time pies.

Currently that looks like the best option available.
AberhillEnd
East Fife v Cowdenbeath tomorrow 2pm Our previous friendlies have been £5 entry but our board in their wisdom have priced this at £10 which in my opinion is a blatant attempt to get extra £ in due to being a "derby" but will probably have the opposite effect ! Have been following your progress this summer with your new signing pollicy and will be interesting on how the teams fare. East Fife are very short on players and have a core of experience padded out with youngsters. Edited July 1 by AberhillEnd
The Minertaur
I was speaking with Cowden Cowboy a couple days ago and asked if we were ever signing a keeper. "it's all in hand" was his reply. Keep the faith guys - still plenty time. Spoiler Just don't ask him about signing experienced players
Aberdeen Cowden
There will be plenty of half decent keepers available. There always are.
