Get in there 😀

Delighted with the result, gutted not be there to see it.

Looking forward to hearing some reports from the match.

2nd and 3rd goals by Walker and Sinclair were crackers well worth watching on the highlights.

Solid overall performance from all involved. Game should have been put to bed first half jack garrard had a handful of excellent chances. I was most impressed with dean ritchie today good on the ball but for a small lad he certainly puts himself about doesn’t shy from a tackle. We get hearts quiet apart from the excellent through ball for their goal. Big dan a real handful up top cunningham plays well off him. Worth standing in the freezing cold for that happy Tuesday!

A great performance this evening and to top it off more ruthless in front of goal 😊

We probably should have been a few up at the break but came good in the second half.

If your there on Saturday I have a few programmes to pass onto you.

Great to hear the positive comments everyone.

The Hearts B Twitter account had some tweets throughout the game when there was something of note, and they mostly seemed to be Cowden chances, especially first half, so good that we didn’t let this one get away.

Perfect thank you. Only joined from near end of first half tonight.

We definitely played really well tonight 👍

Not as good very young side mind you much changed from early season as some of the older players are out on loan.

Yeah just had a look and it was a very young Hearts side. We definitely looked a bit better than my last time watching but not sure how much of that is down to the opposition.

We have certainly turned a corner since the New Year.

Since then have taken 14 points out of 24, should really have been 16 points as two definitely got away from us on Saturday.

Considering 2 of those defeats have been to the old firm B teams in that time, think can be happy progress is being made.

Some good signings as well in the last 2-3 months, full credit to the recruitment guys.

Aye should have won on Saturday and deserved a draw against Rangers B and at least a point against the Colts.

Thought a draw on Saturday was about right, though you probably had a few more chances. Gala have got a good young keeper on loan at the moment who keeps it together at the back

After we equalised we had a few good chances, with better finishing we could have been ahead at the break.

Gala could have snatched the win at the death mind you.

Quite liked the boy Gospel Ocoli who is on loan from Partick.

Cowden should have been about 3-0 up by half time but were denied by bad misses or desperate defending.  The two second half goals while well finished were down to Hearts errors. The alignment of their two man wall for the free kick was wrong.  I could see the space for the shot round the wall and in at the near post from where I was sitting and so it proved.  For the third, two Hearts defenders failed in their efforts to shield the ball out of play, allowing Sinclair to keep the ball in play on the goal line then score with no further challenge.

Hearts were poor throughout.  However, it was a much weakened team from earlier in the season. Three of their U20 regulars (Darge, Watson and Denholm) were told they will not be getting new contracts and were put out on loan. They were also missing Pollock (injured) and Flatman went off injured early in the 2nd half. Indeed Hearts ended up with 4 x 16 year olds on the park.  Two of the subs who came on were listed as trialists as they are still amateur academy players.

Great advert for why B Teams should not be anywhere near a competitive competition.
