You couldn't make this up.Another 24hrs would have been enough.

I imagine there has been hard frost in the pitch all week think there has been only one night this week above zero.

Most grass pitches will be off this week apart from those with under soil heating.

I bumped into our groundsman this afternoon and he said the park is solid.

Frustrating but that's what happens when football is played in our Winter Climate.

Shame as another game lost to a Saturday for the community.

Typical unfortunate timing too as it's much milder next week.

Was looking forward to this one following Saturdays excellent result and performance

Yeah, and with Hearts being idle it may have encouraged a few of the curious over. 😞

Lots of postponed fixtures to rearrange:

Celtic B Home,

Hearts B Home

Shire Away, and,

Dalbeattie Away.

This is why there are many midweek fixtures.

With all the whinging on here about too many midweek games can you imagine the fixture carnage if they stuck to most or every Saturday.

Thankless task being a fixtures secretary.

But there have been three times already when we had no fixtures at all scheduled for periods of 3 weeks or more

Aye but on the other hand if we had more Saturday games we could have managed to be up to date. We mostly managed to play 36 SPFL games without much midweeks.

Having blank Saturday's for the SCC is just a pain.

Quinn Coulson was released by Raith and now signed for Alloa.

Good tidy player, starting to bounce around now though for someone still quite young.

Noticed that Bisland played the full game for the second week in a row, Peterhead won the basement battle with Clyde 1-0.

? Given he was under 23 years if age was there a transfer fee?

He had suffered a bad injury and that hampered him.  He was not then playing regularly and Covid hit.  He was offered a contract renewal but advised he thought it better to move on.  He was looking to join te Haws  - to help him at that point in his career after his injury we did not seek a fee.

Young Ben is training with the club for extra experience and potentially one for the future. As we had a bounce game it was a good opportunity for him to get some minutes yesterday. The lad will continue to train but keep playing with his u18s team. Great attitude and composure for a young lad.
