There was a coo

Liked the look of 7. The right back was decent enough, different right  back from Tuesday (he was also decent on the ball on).

The team is more effective going forward on the right. Felt the left side of the team struggled.
The 2 forward were quiet and the defence badly needs a leader at centre half who is solid and commanding and organises.
10 was ok for a first game.

Listened to some of Sportsound earlier. One guy was talking about what a great example Bonnyrigg are to the league. One of the others chipped in saying the pyramid system was fantastic and referenced FC Edinburgh and Elgin as the teams racing up the pyramid

I moan when they just talk about the old firm, but then maybe its for the best.

Aye Elgin have just been there for 22 years when the pyramid was still in Egypt.

At least if your going to talk about something you don’t know about do some research.

Said all along you need an experienced spine to a team.

Gala are a thoroughly unpleasant bunch who played the naive referee like an old fiddle. Playing our best players would help. Playing players in their best position would help instead of constantly shuffling them round.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Best I would say, keeper from Partick, Thomson at right back, Newman at left back, Robinson at centre back Struthers in midfield Sinclair and Akhamenzie up front.

I would agree with you they are probably the best of the bunch would add in Berry as well.

Not a great squad overall but you were never going to sign 19 or so young boys who would be up to the task.

If we had more street wise players we could do the same to refs, welcome to non league football.
Out of interest as their all new who would you say are our best players.
I would stick my neck out and say the trialist 10 was our best  player today.

Players going down every time they lost the ball. Constantly feigning injury. Too streetwise for the Cowden lads.
Two free kicks at the edge of the box, both hit sky high. Not good.
Played really well at times. You just knew that if we hadn’t lost a goal in open play, the opposition would have been given a penalty.

Gala were ok today, but that was a real missed opportunity to get 3 points, never mind 1. Gala were good upfront, but pretty poor at the back and we didn't capitalise on the opportunity. We had no threat upfront ourselves. Aikamhenze should be starting no matter what the issues are. If we play like that against the likes of East Kilbride, then we will be destroyed. We are basically looking to outdo Dalbeatie, Cumbernauld and Gretna for fourth bottom spot.

Bonnyrigg got 1,098 for their first SPFL game.

To be expected given it was their first game and they have 500 season tickets, Kelty got 1200 at theirs.

The lower crowds in Fife will be in part due to it being in the middle of the traditional holiday and in our case a poor run and a team with almost no away support.

Gala are a traditional mid table side.

Yes we should have had something from the game but two bad defensive errors on our part.

Kelty’s crowd was well down 439 they got.

We had 464 against Broomhill on Tuesday which would have been quite a few neutrals. Can say Kelty’s crowd was down because people are on holiday, but it’s pretty poor when they can’t get more than 439 for flag day! Anyway the neutrals were missing today from our crowd of 170 but we also have some fans on holiday I’m sure!

On Tuesday Broomhill brought a few think they had bought 60 e tickets at one point.

Plenty on neutrals to see our first game in the LL and to see  the novelty of the revamped Broomhill.

Down to the bare bones today virtually not away fans but some, others will have been on holiday and no doubt some just pissed off.

Some decent bits but on the whole got what we deserved. Created lots of openings on the left but no end product. Badly missing a commanding centre half. Hopefully Martins?

Sinclair looked off the pace and touch was poor. Maybe rushes back a bit quick?

Oh well, always next game.

Sinclair was playing in a pub league last year, quite literally the lowest level of senior football possible. Always thought he would struggle playing against proper defenders at this level

Aye it’s a big jump , top end of that league isn’t too bad but sides at bottom are poor.

To be fair to the boy today he was a bit off the pace but has been out for a fortnight .
