Good performance tonight, Alassan the clear star performer. McArthur looked good in his brief appearance which bodes well.

Gemmell could do with realising that sometimes players might need some encouragement rather than shouting at them.

Tut Tut now.You can’t say anything derogatory about Micheal.

Performance of the night was the Bo’ness Massive managing to correctly count to ten as the Ref stepped out a free kick.

Who knew ?

It was a struggle to be honest.  Thankfully we didn't have to count above 10

Yes, we did well.  How do you boys manage to count your eleven fingers?

Lewis came on as a sub on Tuesday v Cowdenbeath.

Our centrehalfs are :-

Jamie McCormack (best right back in the league IMO)

Nicky Locke (a number 10)

Lewis Hawkins (a utility player who has been missing a few weeks- injured ? - was named as a sub in Tuesday)

Our only specialist centrehalf Todd fell out with the manager (I was told) and has been missing recently.

............so yes we do need a centrehalf.

Yet another wrong choice in pre season signings then .

Let’s face it over the last 2 seasons most of the pre season signings have been mistakes and the manager has basically admitted that by them not being there long .

What gets me too is that people are sponsoring these players and next thing they are out the door . Really doesn’t set a good example .

Here we go again , another signing from Camelon , does he never learn . Two leagues below and over 100 goals lost and we sign their centre half . Similarities with Musa and that hasn’t worked out great .

Yes I will give the lad every chance but doesn’t bode well in my opinion .

I hope I’m completely wrong but time will tell .

Bringing in a load of new signings at the start of the season, playing them and finding out they are inferior to the players you already had has been Max's biggest failing.

It was obvious to me that Ward was nowhere near as good as Keir McCauley at left back.  Likewise Declan Hughes isn't fit to lace the boots of Kyle Johnston but Max persevered and his stubbornness cost us early season points.

The new signing makes sense.  He is a centrehalf and it may see Jamie McCormack playing at right back.

Would be great if this signing means we get to see McCormack back at right back, great attacking threat which is negated when he's playing at centre half.

And while it wasn't a big test in any way, McArthur looked very comfortable in his brief appearance against Cowden, more than Stevenson has looked playing there.

I love when people come up with stuff like this where do you expect to get players from?

Players dropping down the way are dropping down the leagues for a reason or money. E.g what your supporters and stenny supporters said about hughes.

McAulay missed games at the start of the season but has worked hard to make the LB slot his own.
Todd  picks up to many needless bookings and invariably is a disaster waiting to happen eg Berwick match. As you say the signing of McArthur will hopefully free up Jamie to play his natural game - scoring the odd hatrick.

We just need to kick and achieve the best placing in the league we can.

As it stands, what would be best starting 11 and formation,? would be advantageous to have a settled 11.

We are never going to have a settled 11 under Max , you should know that given the last 3 seasons .

People I speak to who have supported BU in the past can no longer be bothered by the revolving door and poor signings made by Max .

The revolving door was there before him too .

There is constant fall outs between manager and players and stories I have heard which can’t be related on here .

I know there is  Max love in on here but that is by no way the general view of BU fans .

The bad signings outweigh the good ones by quite a distance .
