That defender Porro that Spurs are signing on loan from Sporting Lisbon with an obligation to buy for €45m in the summer. He's the same guy Sporting bought last summer from Man City for €8.5m.  A tidy €36.5m profit after one season.

Check Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez if you want to see some really ridiculous short term profits.

European clubs rip the pish out of Barclays clubs when it comes to transfers, and rightly so.

Is Keylor Navas to Nottingham Forest the most pointless signing of the window? Dean Henderson is perfectly capable just seems a waste of money.

Nope. Henderson is out for maybe two months leaving only Wayne Hennessey to save them from relegation.

It could leave Henderson, the self-confessed best keeper in the history of football, on the bench for the rest of the season when he's fit again which would be the ideal outcome of this.

Harry Souttar to Leicester for 15 million, hopefully Dundee United had a sell-on clause

Reportedly going to get a couple of million.

On sell on clauses, apparently the sell on clause for Fernández is going to mean he's now River Plate's record sale. They'll get about double what they got when they sold Julian Alvarez directly to Man City for doing nothing.

Think Trossard and Jorginho is relatively good business for arsenal. With Trossard Vs Murdyk you're signing someone who is proven quality in the league, for non-stupid money, and not immediately engulfed in a racism storm. Caicedo would have been great but at 70 mill? Jorginho's won a lot and is a very decent midfielder to be bringing on. If they're looking for guys to close out a title race rather than build for the next one, which is really what you should be doing in their position in January, they've done well

I’m sure it’s the case that when Lyndon Dykes moved to QPR the sell on Queen of the South had made him their record sale. Different levels of money obviously but it just shows how well things can go with smart negotiation.
