I see Ronaldo is now getting stuck into the Glazers...

"Manchester are a marketing club - they get money from the marketing,"

"It will be hard for Manchester to be top of the game in the next two or three years."

"The owners of the club, the Glazers, they don't care about the club, professional sport."

He has a point but what part of "elite level" football is not driven by marketing these days? Ronaldo is one of the biggest marketing whores in football. You just need to look at his social media profiles to see the various brands, products and services he is endorsing.

Ronaldo has played a blinder here, Man Utd were not going to sell him so he does this to all but guarantee his exit.

Anyone surprised at the guy being a complete cock, hasn't really been paying attention to his career for any part of the last 20 years.

If Man Utd had any form of backbone, they'd have him see out the rest of his contract rotting in the reserves.

He's stating the obvious while ignoring the fact that the money from the marketing helps pay his obscene £500k a week.

Absolutely this. Batter him with the kids and make their games prominent. He either turns up and performs or he wanders about doing nothing. He picks up his massive wage while the club openly ridicule him and his perceived greatness.

Everyone's a winner baby, that's no lie.

Ronaldo being a dick and ManU being a poorly run club aren't of course mutually exclusive.
He's undoubtedly looking to force his way out of the club and he'll achieve that. As others have said it would be very funny if they just let him rot in the reserves. They won't though.

He's using the issues to try and force a move - there's absolutely f**k all belief in what he is saying.

Once an arrogant tosser always an arrogant tosser.

Ends up at one of the MLS big spenders with said club & leagues marketing departments proceeding to chug themselves into a coma.

Wouldn't he have, em, issues about playing in the MLS?

Yeah, fairly certain he can't be going there to earn a living.

Just finished watching the first part of the Ronaldo interview.

His legacy is ruined at Man Utd. He deserves it just for doing an interview with Piers, who had his straw so far up his arse for the duration of it.

Cringeworthy, and there is still a second part to come tomorrow night.

No big club will take him, back to Portugal I reckon.

Yeah, there are people raging he isn't in the England squad. There was no way they could have picked him with that hanging over him.

I'm very cynical, but I suspect HAD he been selected this would not have come to light until after the WC

He won’t be short of offers if clubs can meet his wage demands and they’re confident their facilities will meet his standards.

I reckon Southgate will have had a heads-up from the FA that this is looming and will have been advised not to select him.
