I’d like to see Ange leave Celtic and manage in the Barclays.

Preferably he’ll leave in the most devastating manner possible, such as leaving them high and dry the day prior to the season opener, or the day after declaring his undying love and devotion to the club. That will pave the way nicely for the return of old popcorn teeth.

However he leaves, it will be great. Rodgers x 5 IMO in terms of hilarity.

Anyway, Barclays-wise, Chelsea are less than 5 minutes in tonight and have already shown the sort of front of goal ineptitude that has reached unparalleled levels this season.

This could easily be something like 3-2 by now but both teams have been abysmal in the final third. Chelsea have missed a couple of sitters while both teams have squandered multiple opportunities through either a poor final ball or bad touch.

Loads of Nigels I follow on Twitter seem surprised that Casemiro is actually good. Yes lads, all those CL titles do still mean the same thing when a non-English teams win them.

Some brass neck from De Gea there - a goalkeeper absolutely seething that he’s been clattered into while competing for a cross.

It was a clear foul to be fair. Goalkeepers are over protected of course but thats a foul all day. There's an arm into De Gea's face.

Of course it was. I just thought it was quite funny given you see goalkeepers absolutely wiping out attackers in similar circumstances almost every game.

This Chelsea team are very lucky not to be in the relegation fight. Truly and utterly awful.

1 win from 8 since Lampard took over. Just as well they had enough points on the board already.

Nice goal by Felix.

Bit of a blow for the Barclays for Negalsmann and now Slot the Feyenoord manager publicly turning Spurs down.

Wonder what is hidden behind the scenes that is making them so unappealing.

Whoever they end up with, maybe Ange, will look like their 5th choice or something - very much like Nuno was a few seasons ago.

Seems they couldn't afford him. Of course, maybe he just KB'd them and this is being spun by a friendly journalist. Generally if the team want the coach and the coach wants to go, the team get the coach.

Spurs running out of options sharp enough that we may yet get to see a Celtic fan punching a cardboard cut-out of a stubbly Australian man very soon.
