Some finish from Kane that. Kulusevski making a massove difference.

Neville must not have watched Southgates England at all if he thinks TAA presents this huge dilemma.

Southgate very clearly doesn't trust him. He is a risk averse manager, and TAA has had absolutely minimal time on the pitch for England as a result.

If Neville thinks that this season, where his defensive deficiencies had been badly exposed to Liverpools cost is the one where it suddenly becomes a puzzle for waistcoat, im fucked if I know what he's been watching.

Didn’t Neville say a few weeks back that Trent was better then Cafu?

I hope Southgate does take him. An England World Cup back 4 of Trent, Maguire, Dier and Shaw would be splendid.

You would expect this to be obvious to a player that played his entire career as a right back, but seemingly not.

A good insight into why he was an abject failure during his short stint in management.

It's just the fact that for some reason, there is a Sky lobby for TAA. Neville really WANTS it to be a dilemma for Southgate, but the fact is, Southgate doesn't see it that way. I really don't see him suddenly becoming more risk tolerant in a WC. Walker and James being out pushes him up the pecking order clearly. If those two were fit, TAA probably isn't even on the plane.

There was zero chance he was getting selected if they were fit. They were already briefing he wasn't in the euros squad before (best for both parties) he got injured and removed the knicker wetting that would have ensued.

His form has been dreadful this season, but that isn't unique to him, will be plenty of off form players in that England squad. TAA might make it, due to injuries, but probably won't play.

A group outside of St James Park were protesting sportswashing by Saudi Arabia.
It’s really bad what the Saudis are up to.

Inside the stadium a 100ft poppy is on display and a bunch of old white men lay wreaths for some top notch ‘membering of when Britannia ruled the seas.
Brings a tear to a glass eye that.

Exchanged a few texts with Jason Cundy during this first half. We are in full and unfortunate agreement that this The Chels side are insipid, boring, and far too big a step up for Mr Potter to manage - we don't need a school teacher, we need John Terry.

Cunders may put it more diplomatically on Talksport, The Sports Bar on Monday evening at 10pm of course - tune in to find out, or call 03717 223344 to contribute (calls charged at national rate).

Should be a good test of Arsenal's credentials tonight, a very interesting game. There's absolutely no way they were going into this weekend expecting to stretch out their lead but here we are.

Wolves with a new #gaffer to impress too.

Should be a well spiced serving of steaming hot Barclays.
