Michael Max calling any team from the North East of Scotland "Peterhead", it's good to be back...

Milne looking really decent again, couple of superb crosses, and Lawless has been quite bright but pretty mundane other than that which is understandable given the conditions. We have had loads of the ball and that might cause them to tire a bit second half- they are definitely capable of scoring against us and probably should have done so in the first minute.

We've definitely chose tonight to f**k around with weird set pieces, absolutely none of them have worked, arguably Fraserburgh have come closer from the counter attack where the boy was clean through if he hadn't taken a heavy touch.

Second half more or less a training session, especially after the second goal. With Dundee, Aberdeen, and ICT likely to get 12/12 we're hard pushed to be seeded even if we win on Saturday so while racking up the score would obviously have been nice, it's unlikely to matter in the context of progression. Should certainly have been 4 or 5-0 in the end, Weston blocking Dowds' goalbound header was particularly infuriating.

McKinnon played well second half, Dowds brought a good bit of energy and Fitzpatrick had a couple of cracking runs (but also fell over the ball a lot). Have to factor in both the level of opposition and the heat though, and the pitch while obviously miles better than the end of last season still had a couple of bobbles in, maybe needs more time to bed in?

The chat from him and QuietJag on commentary for the last 10 minutes while they were trying to think of players who had finished as top scorer three years in a row was excruciating. They basically gave up talking about the game and went “umm, errrr, hmmmm” while thinking about the answer to a quiz question that they didn’t even have the fucking answer for.

The game itself - meh. Can’t be too harsh given those conditions but it was a pretty sloppy performance. Job done, but we’ll need to step it up a bit for Saturday.

I'm hoping Smith starting today is more of a nod to him not starting next week. Been surprised that Montrose lost to Stenny and didn't run Killie close, hopefully they're not saving their performance for today now that they're out.

Smith injured now anyway. Don't think we've played especially well to merit a 2-0 lead but Montrose haven't done much with their possession either, Blair Lyons certainly trying to get it up us, been impressed with him.

For all the rightful plaudits Milne has had, that's 2 assists and a goal from McMillan from full back.

Would get Graham off at HT so it doesn't count towards a sub stoppage and give either Dowds or Mullen 45 minutes.
