For a laugh I'd say Mark McGhee or James McPake, but I think Gary Caldwell is a realistic shout.

Gary Caldwell and Dunfermline are a match made in heaven both have ideas above there station, would love that too happen 😂😂😂

I'd rather have kept Hughes

Absolutely no idea why James McPake would be a bad appointment for a league 1 club. He got a team promoted to the premier league and Dundee hardly won a point after he left this year.

Interesting to see who makes the worse appointment here between two shambolic Fife boardrooms.

Us 100% if they could make a catastrophic signing in January we could do the same for manager

For me personally the four I'm thinking of at the moment are Petrie, Kevin Thomson, Dick and Ian Murray.
Petrie is the obvious choice, just as he was a year ago before we got Peter Grant and then Yogi in November. Kevin Thomson wants a new challenge, has been interviewed for Raith, I think he'd be a good fit. Ian Murray has done very well at Airdrie, would tick the boxes similar to Kevin Thomson. Rumour has it Dick applied both times the job was last available and wasn't offered an interview which is bonkers. Like Petrie, the Pars are his club and I'm sure given our current position would see it as a good challenge. Can't see him taking Arbroath further than he has this season.

There is absolutely not a hope in hell that Dick Campbell applied for the Pars job when you appointed Grant and then Yogi and didn’t get interviewed. The only way that would happen is if he was offered the job on the spot.

80 applicants applied when Grant got it and they didn't interview a single one of them. They sought him out specifically. The former chairman boasted about it at the time.

80 applicants and not one interviewed, no wonder you lot went down that’s bad running of a football club and your chairman (like ours) was stuck in his ways and never actually listened before it was too late

To counter that : we also barely won a point when he was in charge.

We got promoted due to Charlie Adam. We finished fourth that season and the boy turned into Iniesta in the play off games.

You can't have finished fourth surely? That's where we finished.

Dundee finished second that season.

Sorry, you're right. We were destined for third until Raith collapsed.
