McPake will do a job for yous.  Spoke to him at length in Dens a while back whilst there for a job (we have a contract with DFC).
Talks a very good game, and has a lot of contacts in the game.  TBH if he canny get you back up, no one can.

How does this differentiate him from any other manager?

67 days until his first league game in charge and a lot of work to do between now and then. Let's hope he turns out to be the right pick.

It's still sad to me that Stewart Petrie will never manage Dunfermline. I felt he was the perfect choice this time.

It's amazing how often Raith fans try and use the "wee team" patter against us, missing the point that it only shows just how deep that jibe has burrowed under their skin.

Naw, it's a case of what goes round comes round :)

'Speaks well'

'Has good ideas'

'Impressed at interview'

'Highly thought of' (usually reserved for upcoming youth coaches)

All phrases used by people to talk up managers in the absence of any actual evidence that they are a good manager.

Does winning the Premiership Playoffs not count? That surely surpasses anything McGlynn, Murray, Thomson (from the recent merry-go-round) have achieved? Bert Paton, AJ, Stevie Crawford, JJ, Yogi have all failed too.

Doesn't speak well.

Has shite ideas.

Had a shocker of an interview.

Everyone thinks he's a p***k.

Would hardly make for a successful interview would it?

I think it is a bit unfair to make public the notes from Yogi’s interview. Let the guy move on with a bit of dignity.

Have you consulted them on this appointment btw? Remember what happened last time.

I agree he would have been the perfect choice. He clearly doesn't want it. Time to let it go.
