Time for the Blazers to walk.........

Recommended Posts

The only folk coming out of this who look "pub league" are Blantyre. It's obviously not ideal but plenty of games have taken place at the same time as important internationals and big games involving other Scottish sides.

If they've allowed so many players to put the club they support above the club they play for then that's mickey mouse and they should be taking whatever punishment comes their way on the chin. Ultimately, all the WoS clubs are now part of the same league structure as the OF. Skipping games to watch them on TV should be embarrassing.

  • Glenconner changed the title to Time for the Blazers to walk.........

This is obviously a topic which is provoking lots of opinion but imo it's a badly named thread.

@Glenconner any chance of changing the name?

Done.

In hindsight yer man is obviously a complete Patsy.

Let's see how the rest of the Blazers deal with this and the Cambuslang cup tie farce.

Anything less than a 30 point deduction for Blantyre Vics starting next season is a travesty.

And Cambuslang Rangers shouldn't be allowed anywhere near that cup competition next season.

Tell you what though, the AGM's going to be really busy this year with all these people queuing up to get fitted out for a new blazer.

All the people that know how things should be and how to make sure it happens without problems arising.

All the people that can make an instant decision without knowing all the facts.

All the people that get it right first time and all the time.

I'll need to be careful in case I get knocked down in the rush when the doors get opened.

Maybe you should remember these points when criticising other leagues.

Anyone who knows anything about football in the west of Scotland knows that no team should be playing at the same time as Rangers in a Euro final.
The minute the semifinal result was clear and the Europa final date was confirmed all other games in Scotland should’ve been rescheduled.

Unfortunately that won’t happen back in 1972 the night rangers won the cup winners cup Scotland played Wales at hampden so the European final wasn’t even live on tv.

Since some of the Blazers are connected to our top clubs in the Wosfl then it's goodbye and goodnight when they get promoted to the LL.

Unlike the Juniors were they hung around for decades.

Image trying some of these tricks in a serious professional league.

As long as you don’t do walking away mate. Stick with it.

I fully support Kennie he’s done a remarkable job in difficult circumstances,it’s unfortunate that 2 teams have let down the leagues, and should be punished accordingly

Not sure why folk are digging out those in charge when the bone lies with Blantyre. End of the day fixtures are published and folk know potential clashes. Have to deal with it. If certain folk in here think they can do better then get yourself nominated and try. For those calling for massive points deduction give your head a wobble. For those saying they know exactly what the situation again take a step back as you clearly don’t as only those directly involved in investigating will be fully aware (already been posts with rumours which aren’t true). Why not let the investigation take place same as it would in your workplace for a disciplinary issue. Better to take your time and get it right then rush and end up in a worse situation

Glenafton will have an official letter of protest ready for the sfa over a forced replay of this game and the handling of it if they are made to do so which seems surely very unlikely.
The wosl committee got there wish and last weeks piss take can now be sorted with a £100 fine n dont do it again Blantyre plus a £50 fine for almost making the wosl committee make a proper decision.

Mon the papers
