Is anyone seriously going to try and claim that this sort of abject humiliation of another Scottish club is purely down to the difference in finances between the two teams?

At what point do our clubs and players accept that they simply are not professional enough and actually try do actively do something about it?

Maybe when we're getting scudded from Faroe Island teams the penny will drop.

Daft talk.

It'll be interesting to see how Hearts adapt to euro fitba.

What people need to remember is that if you go back the last twenty seasons, United’s total of 48 points would never have got them anywhere near a European spot. In three or four of these seasons it wouldn’t even have got them into the top six. So they were up against it just like Motherwell, because in reality they were pretty shite.

Considering the money they've put into bringing in thought-to-be quality players since the end of last season and the success of last week, the expectations were clearly raised as they appear on paper to have improved.

That's why it's so much funnier than Motherwell's loss. Honest.

Not having that.

United shouldn't be taking 6 off of Celtic or Rangers and whilst Alkmaar are decent, I'd expect Rangers or Celtic to prevail over two legs.

Equally, in no world should Motherwell ever being getting papped out by Sligo.

That's not being up against it, that's shitting the bed.

This is the reason St Mirren have deliberately fallen short the last 2 seasons.
