LiviLion
Nice to get a more interesting tie for a change. Other than playing Glenafton Athletic at home (boo!) the last interesting tie I can remember us having was away to Irvine Meadow about 11 years ago. Think we've had St Johnstone or Raith in every season since then. Anyway, we don't really do the Scottish Cup, so congratulations to Stenny on their giant killing.

Have they ever not shown a game involving either cheek since they got the rights to the cup games in Scotland? Every game Celtic and Rangers played in the Scottish Cup between 2018/19 and 2021/22 was live on Premier Sports. Whether Viaplay have a different approach remains to be seen. Did they not just ignore their 2nd pick when they were drawn against each other too, and only picked that one game? There is a chance I've made that up but seem to remember it.
stu2910
Home draws are shite. They should just open the gates and let folk wander in Give out free tickets to Dundee/Abertay/St Andrews students to give it a bit of an edge [emoji23]

That's banking on Celtic declaring members of this scheme who do not attend as part of the 'Gate receipts'. They picked Hibs v Motherwell in the quarter-finals (along with Rangers v St Johnstone).

Paco
Do the BBC have a particular slot? Linlithgow away being moved to a Monday night would be a bitter, bitter blow. Friday however would be fine.
craigkillie
The games in R4 onwards are often on BBC1 Scotland rather than BBC Scotland and are often Saturday evening or Sunday.

HibeeJibee
By definition a licensed ground is enclosed, has an approved capacity, has adequate access and facilities for that capacity, and an ability to segregate if required. For any game to 'need moving' should require a special safety issue like building work/damage/etc. or genuine police concern over ticketless fans trying to break in. SFA leadership have also spent recent years telling clubs they'd be tightening up after previous laxness. 14 hours ago, Paco said: I’ve always said that if we can’t get an outright ban on switching home fixtures in the cup, clubs should be forced to nominate their home ground ahead of the draw. Another option would be limiting clubs to their usual capacity at alternative venue. Registered for 1,500 but "dreadfully sorry we've got to use a nearby Premiership park for safety reasons"? Fine but you can still only let in a (now safe) 1,500.
craigkillie
Better to let in as many fans as you can but the SFA retains all income above that capacity to go into the overall prize pot.
Andy groundhopper
Elgin v Drum would be a good tv choice, showing a lower level club - would they be able to get a full strength side on a Friday or Monday, considering the distance. No idea why anyone would want to watch Celtic v Morton, if you're interested then you'd go to the game, surely ? LInlithgow the popular choice, decent ground etc.
