Linlithgow is a good day out. 11 drinking places on the 10 minute walk from train station to the ground including a large social club at the ground.

Apparently they segregated the ground yesterday for the visit of Sauchie!

This meant there was no access to the social club or even the pie hut for visiting fans.

Very strange unless the local branch of the Keystone Cops insisted on this nonsense.

Yeah that was unfortunate as it’s never usually segregated but Sauchie have had some issues with crowds so the SFA asked for it.

Pre-war, there were wins for Duns against Edinburgh City, Inverness Citadel against Clackmannan and Queen's Park against St Bernard's. There was also a 5-5 draw for Babcock & Wilcox at King's Park and a 7-5 defeat for Airdrie away to Port Glasgow.

Babcock & Wilcox then won that replay; the only time they beat a League side.

Aye the segregation was surely a one-off as it was Sauchie, I think they did it previously against Falkirk, so ok, a two-off...

How did they control the social club? Mind you I’d rather drink in the town.

The social club hall was for hospitality and the lounge was members only.

Was at the Fraserburgh v Arbroath game, looked about 1200 there.
