Confirmation of 27 August and 17 September as the PR / 1st round dates

I think that means Fauldhouse United have resigned from the SJFA so we'll only have Armadale, Bathgate, Harthill, Livingston United, Stoneyburn, West Calder and Syngenta (TBC) in it from the EoS unless any of the licensed clubs have rejoined.

Sorry if already been mentioned and I've missed this one... but when does the preliminary draw get made?

Likely 3ish weeks before going by previous years, so first week of August.

Would like to see the regional amateur cup winners come in at some point so for example this season you would have Shortlees (West and Ayrshire), Kincorth (North), Fallin (East), Fintry Athletic (North of Tay), Lesmahagow AFC (South) and Cupar Hearts (Fife) added to the mix.

The Ayrshire isn't a regional cup, it's a league cup.  Now that the Fife leagues have merged, the Fife Cup is largely a league cup now, with the former "Tayside" clubs not participating, while the North is also in effect a second league cup, as all entrants are from the Aberdeenshire AFA.

Any online source for this (not that I doubt you! @HibeeJibee )

As by chance literally 20 seconds ago I was on the SFA page looking for the up to date format/regs for this season, but they still only have last year's.

It is the same as last year, just with newly licensed clubs and qualifiers put into the preliminary round - so unless the SFA change something (they don't need to as there's still space) this will be the format.

The justification for the floodlights was about TV games rather than replays, was it not? There was always an option for Saturday replays up to R3, and that was still being used last season.

It was.

The follow up tweet is also an incredible amount of garbage for the limited character format

No, it was all about replays and SPFL clubs moaning about midweek afternoon kick-offs (which was a fair point).

The fact is, new member clubs who will take part in the early rounds of the cup are prevented from voting on the issue of replays, whilst clubs who normally enter at round 4 have a vote.  There is no democracy in the SFA.

The decision hasn’t been made yet but I suspect it will be a done deal.

I believe it’s the Highland clubs who don’t want to have to travel for replays. They don’t want a National non league either. Happy to just play among themselves all year.
