Still can't believe that we've gone out. I know it's the classic false equivalence, but as it stands we have the best record against RFS in the group 😂😂

It’s clear that RFS would struggle in the SPFL

But they’d do alright in Serie A

Hearts managed tp play more than 2 games in Europe - unlike some teams

Hearts managed to not concede 7 goals in Europe - unlike some teams. (Granted 8 1 game to go.)

Hearts have more points and more goals than Celgers combined.

Maybe the undisputed third force in Scottish football should be moved up a rank...

He started resting/rotating players over a month before the Cup Final? 😂

Having watched the game, seems like it was a waste of time either way.

Yes. We had a run of important injuries at the time, with players like Halkett, Souttar, Devlin, Haring all in trouble to be fit for the final.

People always disagree about what best to do in these situations, but there was rotation and then attempts to get minutes into the players who had been out injured. We had important players who barely played between the semi-final and the final.

Anyone thinking Hearts were prioritising league games at that point needs their head looked at. We were keeping players fit and trying to rest those that needed it.

Enjoyed that. A good atmosphere and a decent enough win against a funny team. They're not very good, but they showed why they've caused the other teams bother and it's decent enough to beat them home and away.

A few quid in the bank, we've rescued the coefficient, and I've had a great time on the trips/nights out in Gorgie. Sadly have had to rule myself OUT of Istanbul as I was pushing my luck with work, but that's fitba.

More next year, please.

A great start, but a frustrating night - good to get a win, but RFS were poor in both games.

Sibbick was good, Kio wasn't.

Ginnelly put in the kind of performance that confirms the players were on a decent win bonus.

Another injury to Kingsley is a massive scunner.

The extra cash should help us pay the light bill for a few weeks.

Kio is becoming a concern.

The management seem to be steadfastly sticking with him, so maybe he's showing something in training that's not coming out in games yet and they think he just needs time. And they were very keen to get him in.

But he's looked really poor so far.

Was really surprised that Kio was allowed to stay on for the full 90 last night - can't see what he offers that Haring (when he's available) doesn't.

Someone put a picture in a group chat of all the players missing sitting in the stand. Haring and Devlin both missed in the middle last night (not to mention Benny). Different thing altogether if you put them, Halket, Rowles, and Boyce on the park.

But that's fitba.

Rowles is expecting to be back by the Livingston game. Whether that’s adequate preparation for trying to deal with  kylian mbabbé in his next game remains to be seen (with all due respects to West Lothian’s finest)

If he goes and has a recurrence of his injury playing in some fucking Mickey Mouse kickaround in the middle east, we need to bin him. We've got Killie at home to think about.

Aye, we were right next to the director's box, and all of those players were there - not far from some screaming weans from Riga!

I was pleased to see Connor Smith come on, but would have taken Kio off before Grant.  I also thought McGill might have got a wee shot if the game wasn't as tight as it was.

Wonder if Haring was out due to the head knock/concussion still?

f**k knows what was up with Devlin - he put in some shift at the weekend, mind.

No sign of GMS anywhere? Reckon he'll be away in January.

Snodgrass should be available on Sunday - maybe time to give McKay a wee rest.

Just think - that's what every non Old Firm side in Scotland is gunning to be part of every season!

Another €500,000 going into the bank after the night at least. Must be €6,000,000 overall from prize money and gate receipts?

Enjoy the hotel mate.
