They shouldn’t even be here, it’s a third-rate competition that they qualified for via the technicality of losing a tie against Zürich. They qualified that for that Zürich game by piggybacking off the success of other Scottish sides in Europe and having satanic luck with the timing of their 3rd place finish. Any other season and they’d have been tucked away by Birkirkara again. Horsed out the intertoto 3 times including a defeat to now defunct Lithuanian side FK Va-tra. Gies a brek.

Hearts are the only team with a win in any of the group stages. Our players don’t look as fit as their opponents. f**k knows what training they do - I’m assuming none of the focus on sports science that’s for sure.
Frank Quitely
What a three days in Europe for the cream of Scottish football. As for tonight, Fiorentina are 13th in Serie A with two wins from nine, and were humped 4-0 at home by Lazio last weekend. Desperate stuff.

Is the Malmo 9 - 0 Hibs aggregate defeat not still the largest European defeat to a scottish side or was that too short to call a campaign?

If we done significantly more training on finishing we would have topped this group with the volume of sitters we have missed Genuinely can’t remember any European campaign where we have had more chances and fucked them all.

This hasn’t even broken the club record for embarrassing European campaign never mind the National one. in fact we’re facing pretty stiff competition for this season’s award which could go down to the wire of course if we get defeated 8-0 at home by Riga then we’ll leave the other four in the dust. Or in real terms you have 1 point, -7 GD, no wins and teams have worked out that your managers limited tactical knowledge, ie. Only one way of playing, is easy to play against.

Cardle is Magic
Neilson cheerily talking about "small margins" and "learning curves" after his side gets utterly pumped and has five wins in the last six months. Not sure why Hearts' fans accept this pish tbh.
