Mail on Sunday today describe FC Zurich as a "two-bob" outfit who couldn't even play their home leg in their own ground.

They finish with..."Everyone understands Scotland's financial limitations, but watching our bigger sides- proper, storied clubs with proper fanbases-lose out time and again to tinpot outfits is becoming soul destroying".

Well said.

What idiot said that?

Well if the Mail on Sunday says so.....

We've got a 3rd team in the European group stages,  that's a good thing.

Come on lads, you not swotting up on the competition? Tight game at the Artemio Franchi tonight, almost finished. Still 0-0 against Napoli. Both teams have threatened, but nothing breathtaking. Defensively, both very rigid. Real Italian footy

Their third 0-0 in a row, I see. Can't quite see them being able to live with Hertz attacking prowess, tbqh.

On the subject of Napoli Pizzeria 1926 on Dalry road is superb. The cheap and cheerful outpost of upmarket Louanda di gusti across the road it’s basically one big shrine to SSC Napoli the ceilings are festooned with flags and scarves, the walls with prints and football shirts and the pizzas are all named  after club legends.

The exception is the toilets which are in Juve colours

Was looking at the Fiorentina lineup. 9 full internationals in the starting lineup including caps from Italy, Argentina, France, Serbia and Morocco. Only 2 that weren't full internationals were capped up to U23 for Brazil and Italy.

Their wide forward plays for France, ours was a freebie from Livingston.  This could be a test.

Two-bob outfit imo.

As you will have noticed tonight, though our line-up is often full of internationals, we are almost always (at best) a mid-table side. Will still beat you in Florence though, but the draw (or upset) is there for the taking at Tynecastle

Mail on Sunday showing ignorance of things that happen in Europe.

Well, I'm stunned.

Quick question, why do you read the Mail on Sunday?

The ticket prices are ok-ish though might look less appealing if we get hosed off Istanbul in game 1.

Aye, decent enough from Hearts.

To be honest, if we get any points from anyone except the Latvians, that will be a decent showing.

Win those two games and I think we can be happy with it. Any more a bonus.

So who's looking forward to seeing us get slapped about by some plastic, nouveau riche Turkish club with no fans on a midweek afternoon then?

Praying that Kiomourtzoglou's visa miraculously comes through in time and that he's actually good. I don't fancy our current midfield options other than Devlin against a better side.

Based on who was benched yesterday, I've a feeling we might see Ginnelly up front and Shankland dropping off.

Gordon

Smith Halkett Kingsley Cochrane

Kio/Haring Devlin

Forrest Shankland McKay

Ginnelly
