Anyone else find Nicol and rhe tweets about his token yellows fuckin embarrassing!

not rly mate you've just got an agenda against him. Put in a shift today & one of the best players on that pitch today yet you'll still moan FFS.

Not saying he didn't play well, just find the tweeting where they say it like a joke some weeks or post yellow card stats like it's a badge of honor.

Thank him for his efforts but surely to be one of the many players leaving in the summer.

You must be fun at parties. A bit of fun man.

Nicol was good today because he wasn’t flying into tackles and losing the head, just broke their play well enough. Gomis and Splaine were excellent in the middle of the park though.

Thought we played some decent stuff in the first half, nice to see us take the quick corner and get the reward with the goal.

Second half we rode our luck at times and Parry made 2 quality saves. How Montrose missed the chance at the end I’ll never know.

Can sit easy now in the last 2 games 😀

Nicoll will surely be away at the end of the season and he's shown almost nothing positive all season bar a decent match against Airdrie, so fair play to him for putting in a strong performance today to get us over the line. The booking he got is exactly the sort of booking he should have been getting throughout his time at Clyde, rather than letting guys run away from him because he's already picked up a card for a stupid challenge. It meant a free-kick in a dangerous situation but he was quite right to bring the Montrose player down after Love (who was awful again) got caught on his heels.

The last 20 minutes or so is the reason why we need a whole new direction next year as we've had spells like that throughout the season where we are absolutely pummelled. Our quality on the ball when we get tired disappears entirely and Montrose absolutely should have scored. He had a couple of awful moments today but I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Barry Ferguson binning Neil Parry has kept us in the division.

That's probably the first time that playing Splaine as a 10 has worked, Lewis Milne is a decent player but was completely over-matched playing as the deepest midfielder in there. A bit strange that both sides had only one fit centre half and our stand-in did a better job filling in than theirs. McAllister's attitude is tremendous and although he contributed to the opening goal, it made such a difference having a bit of pace at the back where he did a great job sweeping behind Elsdon and Docherty. That was also Jamieson's best game outside of the box as well.

Overall, Montrose were so unbelievably bad in that first half that we probably deserved to win. You wouldn't fancy them in the play-offs given how their form has dropped, ironically since signing a player who is as good as anything in the league.

This is the first season since 14/15 that we've been sat this early knowing exactly what division we'll be in. Strong leadership is needed over the coming weeks as we can't afford to be feeding off scraps again.

We’ve been grim since Xmas but that first half took the biscuit. The midfield was completely overrun and the whole team looked confused about what they were doing .. 2-1 at halftime was fair.  Second half was largely one way traffic but we continue to want to walk the ball into the net and the chances we missed were laughable .. the last one was especially hilarious.  The only positive I could take from today was getting Webby back after a couple of months out. The playoffs look a bridge too far for us at the moment but hey ho .. you never know.  Last thing .. the middle aged Clyde supporter with the glasses and one crutch who decided to goad Hamish after the second goal should be ashamed of himself.  What an utterly pathetic arsehole he is.

is there a 'highlights package' from the match?

Doubt it if it's not been uploaded already but the lower league roundup on the SPFL youtube channel should have the goals. They usually upload that on a Wednesday so if it's not there yet it shouldn't be far
