McInroy was part of the midfield two that dominated the game - a ten minute clusterfuck doesn’t change that. He is on a different planet from Joe Chalmers.

Aye okay petal.

Thought McInroy dominated the 1st half and was completely anonymous in the 2nd. Whipped in a number of good crosses though, which was frustrating as I can’t remember a single half decent cross from us all game.

Chalmers did absolutely nothing yesterday. Painful to see us be light up top for so long when our extra body in midfield accounted for zip. All worked out in the end though so idgaf

By all accounts it seems mcinroy  has improved a lot at airdrie and has been good for Ayr since earning a move back to this league so good on him.
But from where i was sitting for his performance yesterday he looked every bit the lazy shitebag, who occasionally passes forwards, that rotted on our bench last season.

I certainly wasn’t wishing he was on our team the same way ayr fans won’t have been wishing to have chalmers back by watching his performance. Both seem to have improved since leaving the former club but you couldn’t tell it by how they played yesterday.

McInroy wasn’t at his best yesterday IMO, but he is at his best in a midfield three anyway. Still though - he most definitely isn’t a lazy shitebag, and wasn’t yesterday either.

Was Chalmers even playing?

He was absolutely terrible

He'd also had a shave since I last saw him so took me a wee while to realise he was actually playing. He's a weird player. He played well occasionally for us but not the dead ball specialist BBC Scotland seem to think he is. I thought he'd been alright for you guys as a kind of deep playmaker?

Yogi does babble some cliché-ridden drivel at times.

At times? It’s every single interview. Although I would take that ahead of Bullen being all chirpy about chucking away a simple victory that would have kept his team in the league.

If Yogi keeps us up, then he is a bit of a hero but I genuinely can’t see him taking us upwards. Our ultimate goal has to be winning the league with our resources. Hhe got a contract til 2023 when he was appointed manager so if he does keep us up then he is definitely going to be here next season.

People pay too much attention to what the manager says in interviews. I couldn't give a f**k if he sounds like a moron if we're getting better on the park. He's not offensive or insulting, just sounds thick.

Peter Grant said something stupid every single week but none of us would have cared if we were top of the league.

I've liked him so far, felt he was unfairly getting a hard time of it but our up turn of home form has coincided with him being class in the middle. That yesterday from him was poor though. Think he got in his own head a wee bit, playing against former club etc

He had a couple of really good performances for us, which is what made him all the more frustrating the other 90% of the time. Weirdly one of them was when he was parked on Charlie Adam for an entire game and we hammered Dundee. In his last game for us he was an absolute disaster, obviously knew he was away as he couldn't even be bothered trying to clear his first man. Agree with the sentiment from Trogdor, I was always excited when he was on a dead ball because of the perceive reputation, yet always left feeling totally underwhelmed.

Think that was Michael Miller.

Mind him?

The thought of going through the play offs annoys me more from the perspective that I am mentally prepared for two more games - QOS and Thistle. I cannot be arsed with another four (if we don’t get papped out in the first leg) games. I’ll drag myself along to the home ties and potentially Airdrie if we end up playing them.

Signed for the wrong black and white outfit in the summer imo.

When you think about it, if he’d signed for us in the summer instead of Adeloye we’d almost certainly be down in Dunfermline’s place.

Quite an impressive feat to be so responsible for a team’s relegation.
