I'm not sure that this is a skill that can be trained. You either have that in your armoury or you don't. I only wish that Aaron Steele was available to get on the end of one of his throw-ins. Our last long throw merchant was Gordon Durie. Edited April 10, 2022 by Cosmic Joe

A long-throw is literally a skill and as such they can be trained and developed. A counter question would be how many players have been coached to throw the ball optimally and/or players coached to move to receive effectively? There are a couple of teams in this league who obviously do practice this aspect. East Fife are not one of them.
DundeeSpider1867
I was recently at Morton v Kilmarnock and Imrie has Morton using the long throw whenever possible. It of course requires a striker/target who can hold the ball up or flick it on. Kilmarnock certainly clocked that Robbie Muirhead and Gozie Ugwu were Morton's real 'aerial' targets, and shut them down pretty effectively through using both legitimate means and the dark arts. Once the two of them were 'shut down' the long throws were a pretty moot point. Morton's LB Lewis Strapp has some long throw on him though.

EF have still to play one of them, so let’s see if you can work it like out for yourself. Might help keep your interest up in those final games.
