St Johnstone vs Livingston - 2 April 2022

Meh, never expect anything when that clown is the ref. Might have got a draw with a fair contest but we weren't good enough to consider deserving more than that.

St Johnstone will be absolutely fine, might not even need a play off tbf.

Don't think we can complain about refs for a while now. Think our penalty was one, Livi hellish for leading into things with elbows and refs have noticed that, stupid to do it in the box.

Cleary handball an absolute stonewaller, not a clue how that's missed.

Ultimately though we score our only decent chance and Livi miss there's.

We're still fairly shit and far too content to just sit in after scoring, but they've found a way to pick up points and that's all the matters. Doubt we'll get anything against Celtic but post split you're looking for 3 wins.

Pathetic. Centre backs let the team down with some madness in the first few minutes. Looked absolutely hopeless up top again. We're reverting to the same BS of having no one in the penalty box but about 3 players in the corner on every attack. Not good enough against a team that were there for the taking.

That said, what a terrible performance from Kevin Clancy. Missed a red card from Penrice and a stonewall penalty for us.

It’s frustrating when every single time we come away from a game with Clancy as ref he’s the main talking point. It surely can’t keep happening? Every single time we play this season, but there never seems to be any punishment for consistently poor refereeing.

lack of end product today, desperately missing Anderson

Rub of the green with that late penalty not going Livi’s way, but then I think Penrice was a bit lucky to stay on the park.

Not pretty, eye bleeding to watch, but a win is all that matters at this stage. Great result and gives us a bit of breathing space. A fair wind and we might even make the battle for the play off spot a contest.

This was absolutely brutal. Understand having a home bias but hoping for Stryjek to slice a kick went well overboard. This was before claiming for nothing fouls, wanting a red card for innocuous incidents and the dreadful da patter from Griffin.

I’m 50/50 on the penalty. Did Fitz swing the elbow? Looked a soft one! Penrice should’ve been off though. He was frustrated and clear studs up.

THAT HAND BALL THOUGH. How is that not a pen? Absolute joke of a referee!!

Soto doesn’t look up to it at all. Would much rather have seen shinnie in there and surprised to not see sibs come on for the last 15.

Can’t believe Livy fans are complaining about Clancy. While the Cleary handball looked a good shout on another day they could have been down to 8 or 9 men. Penrice could easily have been red carded and the challenge on Hendry near the end was absolutely a red.

It shouldn't have been a penalty due to the Davidson handball immediately prior to the Fitzwater - Hendry collision.

Absolutely appalling decision with the handball. Have to see the penrice one again, but looked really reckless.

Not great from an attacking point of view but looked really comfortable from a defensive point of view. Never heard the East Stand celebrate a defensive phase where we push back an opposition like that!

Rooney looked good. Thought Hendry should have come off too - looked absolutely done last 10 - can't risk losing him for an extended period.

So gullible I'm rising to your bait.Check out the stats before you post.,as you normally do after a defeat. You obviously haven't.Livi were so dominant over the 90 mins and were robbed of points due to the continued incomponcy of officials. Nobody takes your continued drivel seriously. Stonewall penalty denied, and Obiley at the end should have gotten the point Livi thoughrally deserved. Would suggest  a wee visit to Specksavers for you.You desperately need it.

Listening to wee Davie Escobar crying on the radio was fairly enjoyable.

Obilye batters into Hendry for the free kick then the defender elbows Hendry in the face all in the first minute, but to him it’s Murray Davidson was offside and Hendry ran into Fitzwater’s elbow! You reap the seeds you sow, and that early thuggery from Livi set the tone.  Having said that, Livi were also the better football side though we did sit back a bit after going ahead.

We weren’t great but a good 3 points.

How we ever replace Murray Davidson is beyond me. Everyone battled well, but think Hendry, Davidson, Gordon, McCart and Clark are the strong spine which is dragging us through matches.

Crawford and Cifti looked much better today, particularly workrate wise. Booth looked every bit like a player that hadn’t started a game for months!

Winning scrappy tight matches as we’ve done the past two matches, going into the post-split matches is a great habit.

Just need not to give away a silly score line at Celtic to keep the goal difference intact.
