Sliding back to League 2 guys? If only you had kept Goodwillie!

He’ll be our player of the year

Livingstone's challenge (or lack of) at the third goal summed up the performance of the team today.

Things didn't go Splaine's way today but he was still head and shoulders above any other player in a Clyde shirt. He kept trying to create.

Agreed- he never gives up even if having a poor game

Kevin nicol is beyond a joke these days, booked every game then walks a tightrope. He is a total waste of a jersey.

Bradley-Hurst seems to have been at fault for a few goals recently, needing Parry back in there.

We aren’t remotely close to being safe, we’ll only stay up with others losing around us.

I’d disagree re Nicoll. He keeps the shape in midfield and all 3 of his tackles were ball winning. Ref booked him due to player reaction and Ferry staying down. Over reaction to hook him at H/t. Lost our shape. He could have stayed a bit longer.

Getting rid of DGW when we did with no proven replacement was very risky, it was far too early to be sure we would be safe. Last month of the season we'll be looking over our shoulders now. Have to somehow hope we can crawl to safety and get the chance to rebuild in the summer.

We did have a replacement ... Jamieson!

Nothing surprises me with the way the club is run.

We were turning down offers from 2 clubs right up until deadline day......did something happen to make club change their mind and accept an offer?

Kev is the physicality the team needs. Might lack the footballing ability but he isn't one to shy out a tackle.

He’s absolute pish and miles off the standard of the league. Being able to put a tackle in and getting booked weekly isn’t a plus point.

Disagree. They are all shite. But at least he is willing to fight for the ball.

Former club captain.

He doesn't fight for the ball though. He just lunges in every time because he knows if he doesn't win it first time, there's no chance of him getting back in and the opposition will just run away from him.

The first time Clyde signed Nicoll he didn't make anywhere near as many crazy challenges. He does it now because he's past it and it's the only thing he feels he can still add to a game. He's a liability who wouldn't get a game for any other team in the division.

The fact that Nicoll wasn't even close to our worst performer today is a mark of how poor we were, not any positive about him.

That was grim.

We can't afford to be without Parry, Cuddihy, McAllister and Cunnigham but the goals we lost today were woeful.

Splaine and Jamieson are the only two I thought that didn't chuck it in the second half. The confidence and fight in the team just evaporated after the second goal.

Thought the Peterhead defender was very lucky to stay on the pitch after the stamp on Jamieson. Ridiculous that the linesman claimed he never saw it despite it being right in front of him.

Huge games next week with us away to Alloa and Dumbarton at home to Peterhead.

He won the ball but Nicoll still plays if it is the 90s or early 00s. He's picked up nearly 70 yellow cards in just over 100 games for us.

His first tackle was from behind and the other two he's lunged in and took the man and the ball. All three are fouls going by the rules these days.

I actually thought he was unlucky for the 3rd foul as the Peterhead player lunged in as well.

Fair enough. But a more committed bloke would be hard to find and we need that. He also talks the others through the game and helps keep our shape.
he gives 100% which is more than can be said for others.

next year will be interesting as rumour has it it’s a lower budget.

The chat about our negligence last summer (and, in January) has been said enough. Given the squad that we do have, I think given our absences there's a fair argument that we were always going to struggle to get something out of that. Peterhead are probably behind us because they've missed players at times and not adapted particularly well. With that midfield five they're a decent side, even if a bit low in quality up front and at the back. It doesn't make our recruitment team look too good when someone like Grant Savoury slips past us.

What does matter is that we compounded those absences with an awful team selection. Bradley-Hurst has made some good saves but has also made an awful error in almost every game he's played; today he managed to make two. Given that Parry played in a pointless match midweek, we can only assume that he was fit enough to play, which makes his exclusion from the team an absolutely ridiculous decision.

I don't get why we'd start Livingstone at right-back today but not last week. Samuel actually showed signs of getting involved in the game when moved centrally at the end of the first half but barely had a kick when out wide before and after. Jamieson and Jones for some unknown reason ended up rotating as wingers by the end of the game. We've only got results this season playing a 442, with almost no width, so why we decided to play something different today (and last week) is beyond me, especially coming off a competent display against East Fife. Jamieson is absolutely wasted on his own up top.

You'd need a fair sized abacus to count up whether Rumsby, Elsdon or Love gifted the ball back to Peterhead most today. Three other players that we need to chase as soon as possible. Nicoll was probably unlucky to get booked for that tackle (there's always going to be some contact when two guys slide in) but that's balanced by the fact he should have been sent off last week. Gomis/Splaine have a had a decent partnership in there at times and that falls to pieces with him lumbering about.

Fair play to Splaine, Jamieson and Andrew for showing up the rest with a bit of effort. I always have a bit of sympathy for the officials but it was unbelievable that the linesman didn't see Brown's stamp on the latter, it seemed absolutely blatant. That said, it's probably in our interests for Peterhead to have a full team available for next Saturday.

Great performance again and a much welcome 3 points. Always good to get a win against Clyde ;) Good to see Savoury getting a few goals aswell as I think the only thing missing from his game has been that end product, so hopefully he can build on that. Big one down at Dumbarton next weekend so hopefully more of the same.

We know through personnel experience how frustrating Mr Roncome can be Jim had to sit in the stand for for 5 games after questioning his ability. Good to see Grant Savery picking up a couple goals & looking sharp his second was a looping header. Hamish Ritchie scored a cracker had a similar one earlier in the season with a fine curling shot from the corner of the box.
