Best Kebab? 😆

I don’t think anyone’s ever been in that place while sober.

You only ever go to Best Kebab once. It's a strange situation, I mean its blatantly obvious they're washing money through that joint but nobody seems to care. For the last 20 years it's been a midden in a prime location.

Gonna take a wee detour to London here but I'll get back.

My local pub in Walthamstow was directly across from Tasty Pizza 'n' Chicken but no-one ever went there for after pints scran apart from my mate Jim's Aberdonian pal. He swore by the place.

But the service was shite and the food was worse. One day Jim and the Don went in after the pub and the roof fell on them. The entire ceiling collapsed. The place was covered in dust and all that minging stuff between floors.

They kept trading til closing time despite the fact all that had clearly contaminated the food and their compensation to Jim and his pal was a free drink with their chicken.

About a month or two after this this story went viral: Human Shit Found in Chicken Shop

Turns out they had plumbing issues. The toilet had stopped working in the staff toilet and there was no running water in the sink. They still used it tho and, eventually, it backed up and sewage, shit and f**k knows what else came back up and all over the floor in the back. They just left it. Walked through it and brought it into the kitchen/serving area. Was found in the food when the inspectors turnt up and everything. No hand washing facilities anywhere on site.

Anyway the point is I would go back five years and gladly eat anything from that menu than ever order a single thing from "Cheeky Chicken" in Greenock ever again. It's truly the most foul fowl I've ever had.

The Aberdonian went back to Tasty Pizza 'n' Chicken as soon as it re-opened under new management

Going back a while now, but the Tasty Spot on Alexander Street in Clydebank was utterly appalling in just about every respect possible. It was nicknamed "Nasty Spot" for very good reason.

Can't say I have found anywhere over here that has been terrible. Very few places I would say are excellent either. Mostly okay with a few reasonably good.

I wish I could remember the name of it, but about 10 years ago my wife and I had dinner in a place in Strathyre. It was the worst meal I have ever had.

I remember we ordered a side dish of potato wedges to share. What arrived can only be described as potato peelings that had been undercooked in ancient oil. Everything cold, undercooked and stodgy. Probably the only time I have ever called for a manager, refused to pay and explained why, then went to another place to get a meal as we barely touched the dross served there.

On takeaways, the chip shop Cabrelli's in Linlithgow will serve you a lovely grease supper with some chips and burnt bits thrown in. My mate, who lives in Linlithgow, thinks it's great so maybe I just caught them on an off night.

Its now vastly better under different owners, but woodys on maryhill road (beside the jaconellis chippy which is decent in its own right) when it was under a different name, cant mind it now - anyway; i phone for an order (pre just eat days, forgotten what that was like) a chicken curry and rice, mrs got some kind of tandoori lamb with a naan. The naan was burnt to a crisp, the lamb was charred black to the point it was inedible and best of all they had forgotten to put any chicken in mine so it was only sauce and rice i got. The sauce was pretty meh as well. Kinda impressive for a takeaway to get 1/4 right on takeaway items and f**k up literally everything else, but at least the rice was fine i suppose.
Thinking back im pretty sure it was half an hour late arriving and all.
Mix Masala?

cash business uses a lot of delivery vans, ‘oh whats that you need to buy lots of white powder to make ice cream?’. Fucking mental but simply not enough resources to deal with organised crime in this country. Government green deal helped some crime gangs make millions doing the insulation etc.

Ever see a casino in Glasgow after the chinese takeaways close? These businesses make a fucking fortune but then the casinos take it off them lol.

Not just the casinos either, im pretty sure theres a chinese tajeaway in helensburgh that has changed hands a few times over the last few years as it keeps getting staked in card games (heard via the rumour mill but it has had multiple names). Doubt its the only one in scotland tbf, but i cant fathom gambling away an entire restaraunt so casually.

I was in Glasgow a wee while back and was going to go to Pizza Hut but hadn't factored in that it was Saturday dinner time so the place was heaving, couldn't be arsed to wait in the queue so wandered down Buchanan Street to find an easy takeaway, found a chippy type place and ordered a pizza, it was the most disgusting pizza I've ever eaten, I'd genuinely rather eat a micro pizza. It blew my mind how they could make one taste so bad, I thought generic chippy pizzas all shared some formula and therefore all tasted the same but this was rank. Place was called Pizza Crolla and I'm presuming it only survives from naive tourists and visitors.

Ah see thats the problem, everyone on p&b knows the best time to hit pizza hut with some aftershave sprayed in your mouth is 10am.

The “mince” pie at Motherwell, which civilisation knows as a scotch pie, has left a coating of grease on one’s fingers for as long as I can remember, which is about 2007 when Gretna played there.

Speaking of - I got a steak pie at Raydale when Dalbeattie played Gretna 2008 a few months ago, and it was just beef soup in a flimsy bit of pastry that disintegrates on sight

Did the owner lose it to an Indian?

The worst place I've been to Inverness was 'The World Buffet' on Union Street. It was in a lovely location on the 1st floor of a building above a pub and below a snooker club. All the food had clearly been left out for hours and was barely edible. It didn't last long and is now a church.

Think I was in there once about 15 years ago, and yes, it was horrendous.  I ended up having a plate of chips as they looked like the only thing that wouldn't kill me.
