Wosfl Premier Division Trapdoor

I stole below from another forum but I thought it was well worded and explains what's

happening with structure next year as I for one was getting confused by what the feck is going on with it all

The champions of the WoSFL, EoSFL & SoSFL (if licensed, which they all will be) play a mini-league & the winner is promoted to the LL.
The only team due to be relegated from the LL is Vale of Leithen, who will go to the EoSFL.

If the WoSFL champions are promoted, 6 teams will be relegated from the WoSFL Premier division to the new Div 1 and the 3 conference champions (Arthurlie, Cambuslang & Petershill) promoted, so that next season's Premier Division will be reduced to 16 clubs.

If the WoSFL champions do not win the promotion mini-league, 7 clubs will need to be relegated from the Premier Division to reduce it to 16 for next season.

Below that, the relegated clubs and the remaining teams in the Conferences will be split into Divisions 1 (16 clubs), 2 (16 clubs) and 3 (the rest) based on the final league positions in the Conferences.

What will happen to the 8 clubs currently in WoSFL Division 4 has not yet been decided.

It's nice to be quoted but it'd have been even nicer to have been credited!!!

Especially as I'm a regular poster on here as well as a moderator on the Pollok "another" Fans' Forum.

Cumbernauld relegated

One or two of these teams will go down with the 5 already relegated.

Benburb 38-52 (max 52)

Beith 36-51 (max 57)

Glencairn 37-49 (max 52)

Largs 35-46 (max 55)

Glenafton 33-43 (max 58)

I watched Benburb at the weekend against Thorniewood and if they don’t give themselves a shake, they will struggle to stay up.

They've already finished their games, so I'm not sure there's much they can do now!

Haha. Well they didn’t look like they could beat Casey’s drum. Haha

What if Cumbernauld Colts and/or Caledonian Braves are relegated from Lowland League? Does this increase relegation to 4 or 5 spots or just increase numbers in Premier League with more relegation following season?

It all depends on whether the WoSFL champions get promoted or not and whether a team is relegated into the WoSFL, the same as this year. But the default number is 3 up and down throughout the leagues from next season.

Had Cumbernauld Colts been relegated this season then a possible 8 clubs coukd have been relegated according to the rules posted on here several times.

Though it could be 5 if both go down and West of Scotland Premier League winners don't win the play off or could be just 2 if West winners win the play off and no West sides come down - most likely scenario.

There is no current rule saying what would happen if 2 teams are relegated into the WoSFL and the champions aren't promoted, so it is not correct to say that 5 teams would be automatically relegated.

There probably needs to be such a rule in place. It's probably unlikely to apply for a few years yet, but if the unthinkable happened and Darvel came back down with Cumbernauld Colts and the WoSFL champions didn't go up, they would need to relegate 5 teams to keep the Premier at 16. The same would then apply to the divisions below.

To potentially relegate 5 from 16 seems a bit too much. May be better to promote 2 in and relegate 2-4 depending on what happens above.
