Motherwell vs Dundee - 5/3/2022

Recommended Posts

First home game I'll miss due to hopefully being on a train at half 3. Can't say I'm exceptionally disappointed to be missing this particular one after last night. SOD/Carrol/McGinley to punt the ball up the line "into space" which no-one in C&A to get to, midfield to be missing, all 11 players in the box to defend their corner. Dundee to be unimpressive but punish our mistakes and win 2-0.

But then, I thought we'd at least draw last night so wtf do I know?

Options are limited because McPake binned the strikers.

Our striking options are...

Mullen, a want away guy that probably can't be arsed now.

Rudden, an unproven at this level returning from covid.

Sheridan, 1 working ankle.

Hud meh back!

f**k sake well lads. You’ve no conception of what having a truly shite manager and board is like. Entitled b*****ds.

They had Mark McGhee about 5 year ago tbf.

In an effort to replicate Graham Alexander's thought process I've used Google's random number generator to choose 10 players between 2-32 based on squad numbers. I can confidently predict Saturday's lineup will be;

Kelly

Nirennold Solholm Carroll

Amaluzor Cornelius O'Hara Shaw Woolery

Tierney

Van Veen

I don't have any hope or confidence going into this game whatsoever. I can't even try and begin to guess what the Tombola 11 will be. Dundee will have looked at our result and performance from Wednesday night and fancy their chances. If we lose or even just fail to win and perform just as badly as the other night then the pressure on Alexander will only (rightly) increase. If we're not careful we'll soon be looking over our shoulders instead of looking up. It's just as well we got as many points on the board earlier in the season and that Dundee and St Johnstone are as adrift at the bottom as they are or we'd definitely be getting pulled into that fight. Hope I'm wrong but I just can't us winning this one.

1-1 or 0-1.
