Fred West admitted what he had done while alive and there was no reason to doubt him.

So has enough time passed for you to forgive him?

So, the criminal court system is infallible but the civil courts are irrelevant?
So, we're to accept the findings of the prosecutor, in a system where rape convictions are notoriously difficult to get. Findings that we cant read, instead of accepting the detailed, documented findings of an actual judge who examined the same evidence? Findings that three appeal judges agreed with.
Really?
You're absolutely all over the place. Criminal courts are based on reasonable doubt. Sorry, but that isnt giving you the 99% certainty you crave. So, basically everyone is innocent in your eyes.
You're either drunk, an idiot or a horrible victim blaming, rapist apologist who thinks its all "lads lads lads" and she was asking for it
ETA - or a WUM. Either way, you wont be around much longer
Correct but it's "beyond reasonable doubt" as opposed to "balance of probability" in a civil action.

I have no idea which bit you think is correct or what you think you are correcting.

That's rhetorical, by the way. Im certain I dont give a f**k what you think.

Or Jimmy Saville ?

His former secretary (who he treated like shite off his shoe) was still quite convinced of his innocence, even after hundreds of people came forward to say they'd been abused by him, so there's hope for us all.

Haha, indeed.

FWIW, I loved the sky sports apology for calling him a racist...😂

If he was a racist that perhaps likes racing, that would be quite the tongue twister.

Who is Roland then? The puddle drinker?

I don't think so. There was someone who got punted from the politics subforum after a string of similarly hysterical screeds a while back, but I forget which one it was. They all kind of merge together after a while.

Presumably they post like a sane person about football, then allow the crazy a little free time under another account when it needs to be vented. Surely there's no way people stumble upon this forum, open a new account, and think "hey, I should open with brittle screeching in support of a convicted rapist".

Hopefully, roland will let us know when his rally against Lanarkshire Council is.

Once he's finished typing up his letter of complaint to them of course. Sorry, finished crayoning his letter of complaint. Hope theres enough left after he's finished the "Lanarkshire Council Bad" banner.

Maybe get someone to peel the paper back a bit for you, m74

Looking forward to seeing how our gormless board try and resolve this one.

I have no sympathy at all for them: a mess entirely of their own making.

From BBC:

The entire playing squad and general manager of Clyde's women's team have quit the club after the men's side re-signed David Goodwillie.

And North Lanarkshire Council - who own the club's stadium - say they will not renew Clyde's lease when it expires in May 2023 and will end it sooner if the club allow Goodwillie into Broadwood.

The striker, who was judged in a civil court in 2016 to be a rapist, this week returned to the part-time Scottish League 1 club after a backlash met his January move to full-time Raith Rovers.

Rovers said the 32-year-old would not play for them following several high-profile sponsors and board members leaving in protest and loaned him back to Clyde - where he spent five years.

However, the former Scotland international's return to Broadwood has now sparked more anger.

"All of the players in the ladies team have discussed the situation with the general manager/secretary and are all in agreement that we no longer wish to play for Clyde FC," the women's team said in a statement.

"As a group of female footballers, all we wish to do is play the sport that we love but due to the current circumstances we are unable to do this.

"At this time we wish to ensure the well-being and privacy of our players therefore we would ask that players are not approached personally for comment regarding this matter."

North Lanarkshire Council have written to Clyde stating that Goodwillie "must not be permitted access to the stadium, for any purpose, with immediate effect".

The local authority have cited a clause in the tenancy where a person can be denied entry "on the grounds of undesirable behaviour".

In a statement, they added: "The council believes in rehabilitation... however, Mr Goodwillie has not expressed any contrition.

"We regret that this action is necessary. However, the council has a responsibility to the wider community to act, and to send a clear signal that abuse must not be tolerated."

The council also said they did not act in this manner during Goodwillie's first spell at Clyde because the stadium was not legally under their control at that time.
