Motherwell FC v Aberdeen FC Sat 19th Feb

Recommended Posts

We didn't do enough in the second half to merit winning. Whilst we limited Motherwell apart from their goal, we didn't create any scoring opportunities ourselves after going ahead. Draw probably fair, but if either side was going to win in the second half, it was more likely to be Motherwell.

Barron was excellent again - our MOTM by far. McCrorie also did well from a defensive perspective in midfield. Gallagher seemed to be coping quite well with their physical threat, but then let himself down badly at the goal. Bates was very mixed - great pass at our goal, but a couple of really dodgy moments defensively.

Nick Walsh isn't capable of refereeing top-flight games. Completely out of his depth.

Competent referee and officials and we win that game, IMO

Gallagher has been a poor signing for us thus far and proved it further today.

Better scrapping quality shown but we still need to be bigger.

Barron/McCrorie superb.

Really? Even allowing for your own side bias in each direction it was pretty clear Motherwell dominated the vast majority of the game.

O’hara our best player. Having KVV run about for 70 mins with one side of his body not working though shows our lack of depth at centre forward which is a worry.

Barron was good for Aberdeen. Dec Gallagher is fucking hopeless though…which is fun.

Point each fair. If anyone deserved to nick it it was us and indeed we might have done with a fit striker.

MOH makes a big difference to our midfield in that form and I thought Woolery had a good impact compared to Efford, who had a bad day.

Mugabi played like he had eight pints celebrating his new contract yesterday.

Should've been 2 down at HT and a man down.

KVV should've been body checked by either of our centre halves. Both soft as shit.

Get right into that shoulder FFS

A man down for what? Surely not the Mugabi/Hayes thing you were whinging about earlier in the the thread? [emoji23]

Letter of the law is a slap in the face is a red card.

They've seen it and done nothing.

I think you might need to re-watch that on Alba tonight. Unless I completely missed something then Mugabi pulled at Hayes’ arm as he lay on the ground with his hand on his head, he didn’t slap him.
