HT 2-1
Pft. Not really playing well, still in the game. Least the neutrals spending their Saturday evening watching this are getting good value, been quite an interesting match.
No surprise they’re targeting Tait and both their goals have came down our right side. Still should have defended the balls in better, Alnwick had a nightmare at the first.
However, Hearts are the third best team in Scotland, they’re at home and clearly well up for it, they’re going to create chances.
Looked game over at 2-0 but we hung tough and that’s a superb goal to get back in it, not sure who crossed it (Kiltie?) but what a finish from the wolf.
We’ll probably lose but as long as it’s 2-1 we’ve got a ticket, just need to find a way through that barrier.

Tait's cross in. It was an excellent ball.

No idea why people are complaining about the pre-match team news. 11 players were said to be struggling and 6 of them didn't make it. No-one said they were all out.

Some good attacking moves from us but our defence definitely looks like it can be got at, particularly from wide. Shite from Halliday for the goal and Atkinson doesn't convince me at all.

Woodburn did really well for the second but he's a bit of a liability in possession. Feels like he's given the ball away quite a few times and it's frequently led to a St Mirren break. Unfortunately there's no-one on the bench to replace him.

I think we'll need at least another goal to win this.

Don’t agree with this assessment to be honest, Tait got something on the cross for the first and took the pace out of it but Alnwick still fumbled and Dunne and Shaughnessy were sleeping. Dunne was most at fault for the second, he was 30 yards out of position. Tait’s been our best player tonight IMO.
