Up until now the NATO howitzers sent have not included this GPS targeting angle:

Russian wedding parties had better look out for getting the Afghanistan/Syria treatment then.

Not if the Ukrainians are aiming them they won't be.

Ukraine is assembling a new army bigger than France, Germany, the UK, Poland and Italy's forces put together.

They must have Aragon as the new commander in chief.

The UK army had 2.9 million in 1945, with near universal conscription and a full scale war I don't find that surprising.

The UKs entire Army could fit into Hampden, having us in there isn't adding many folk I would imagine.

More strikes, seemingly from HIMARs over the last couple of days. Difficulty for the Russians is that their dumps and storage sites are fairly predictable (railway depots in newly occupied territory and established dumps in 2014/15 occupied areas) and they need to move lots of ammunition constantly. I’m sure they will adapt, eventually, to the HIMAR capabilities but it could have an impact on their ability to resupply quickly and thus on their plans.

The latest US package of military assistance/aid has more long range capabilities and ammunition.

There has been some talk on Russian forces taking an operational pause after the capture of Lysychansk and Severodonetsk, some reports say that the Russian MoD have confirmed this, others that they haven’t.  overnight there have been numerous artillery strikes on Bakmut with reports of significant civilian casualties so maybe the reports of a widespread pause are erroneous.

In other news the Russian deputy PM with responsibility for the defence industry has been binned amid reports of issues with resupply of drone parts. There are reports that Russian is now shipping in Iranian drones for use in Ukraine, which suggests they are having issues with their own UAVs.
