Moving their troops to the border forces the Ukrainians to counter them and therefore stops those units joining the fight in the Donbas and the South. There has been significant activity against the war in Belarus - numerous acts of sabotage on railway lines and transport infrastructure and credible reports of servicemen and even officers refusing orders to go to the border. Lukashenko isn’t stupid, he knows that he’s in a more vulnerable position in terms of his own office than Putin and if he sent troops into a war they didn’t want he’d be at a high risk of facing a mutiny or revolt. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There has also allegedly been an artillery attack on a village inside Russia, with reports that the village of Solokhi has been hit and evacuated. Unsure if it’s bona fide, there are quite a few accounts claiming to be soldiers or volunteers that are clearly bullshit.
