Any other country would have seized this asset.

Abramovich will have assets in every country in Europe and has plenty in Israel. He has property in America. Has any of that been seized?

Our ruling class care about property rights more than anything else.

A big win for NATO in votes but in terms of population the countries voting against or abstaining contain about half the global population.

For all the breathlessness about sanctions it's only really the EU, Five Eyes, Singapore and Japan who are cracking down.

Russian MOD gives casualty figures of 498 killed and 1500 wounded.

Highly likely this is significantly understated, as all casualty figures are in Russian conflicts. The Ukrainians claiming nearly 6,000 Russians killed. US DoD estimate 2,000.

Like the Battle of Britain... for every 1 aircraft loss the Luftwaffe was admitting, the RAF were claiming about 9, and the true figure was about 3.

And the whole of the americas and south east Asia and non-EU Europe.

About 1/3 of the world’s population live in 2 members that might want to keep the option of steaming into a disputed territory open. They’re both nations firmly in the “w**k” camp.

The whole of the Americas and SE Asia aren't doing sanctions are they? Being against the war isn't the same as cutting economic links.

This has been coming for a while. There will be a Dollar world and a Yuan world.

Aye, there's a wee bit of history there...NATO might no be so quick to equip the Taliban next time if the Russians come knocking again.
