atfccfc
Back in 1922. St Alban's city striker Wilfred 'Billy' Minter scored all SEVEN at Dulwich Hamlet only for the rest of his team to make a complete mess of his efforts by contriving to let in EIGHT at the other end! https://www.stalbanscityfc.com/minter-scores-seven-in-a-most-glorious-defeat/

AyrshireTon
Warren Hawke scored a first half hat-trick for Berwick Rangers against Morton in the 2nd Division on 29/4/95. Morton, having been 3-2 down at the break, won 4-3 and signed Hawke as soon as the season was over.
Northboy
This brings back one of my earliest memories of seeing football on television. It was Hearts v Celtic on Sportscene or Scotsport with Willie Gibson scoring 3 in vain as Hearts lost 3-4 at Tynecastle. Just looked it up on line and it was 1976. I would just have turned 5 so not overly familiar with players of that era but I've a remembered the name ever since.
