Dundee United v Motherwell. Wednesday 9th February 7.45

I think the fact that Watt and Burrows still get on makes the whole situation even funnier. It's like playing 5s with your mates where you spend the whole game arguing and booting lumps out one another then going for a pint at the weekend as if nothing happened.

Quite annoying that Watt comes over as quite magnanimous here - I'd have preferred it if he doubled down and slagged Chairman Flao off a bit more.

That's the way it should be.  During the 90 minutes you've got to give it 100% against the opposition, but once the game is done you have to be able to shake hands (or hug) and get on with life.

There is plenty of scope to investigate why Burrows was fighting his corner and why it was he and not the management team that resurrected his career.

"Did Tony Watt really just score"

the heartbreak in their voice as the denial fades.

They can't have supported Motherwell very long if they didn't see it coming. I never bet but even I put money on Watt to score

I’m really very annoyed indeed that I didn’t empty my betting account on it.

I did too. But the bookies knew it. It was only slightly better than evens for him to be an anytime scorer 🤷‍♂️

I like what I've heard in interviews from Alan Burrows, but didn't realise he was on the touchline for matches. He's leaving himself open to issues if he does that in my view, as he is a fan and it must be difficult not to act like a fan in that position.

He stands a few feet from the away dugout. His verbals with the Rangers backroom staff a few months ago was another highlight. Long may it continue.
